Took a heat gun to my door panels

Saw a thread in aesthetics for getting rid of the scratches. Will probably finish one door off later after a few more beers.

I loved messing with my door panels on my old car since extras were cheap.. this isn't as fun.

I was looking at them after the install and thought that might be the case... I guess people will keep their distance at night and I'm OK with that.

Here's the before and after. I think I applied too much heat though, and you can tell when down low at that angle (directly below the left side of the silver portion in the picture). It looks like there was somewhat of a crease there to begin with though. So maybe just getting rid of the marks made the crease stand out.

But it's nice to have no more scratches from the driver angle. I'll never see that weird crease normally.

Put her up on the lift last weekend, OMG THE NOISE. I don't regret this decision at all. Hit 15,000 shortly afterward.

Got the first bits of my interior done. Not really happy with how it came out. There's some slight bridging around the edges and the surface finish left much to be desired. I'm going to vacuum bag the rest of the pieces when I get around to doing them.

Apply some heat, that may help.

And I did the same over the weekend as well: wrapped and dipped interior trim. The dipped trim is temporary.

I'd have to either rip the carbon off the factory part or just get a new one and redo it. I'll probably do the latter once I get a vacuum bagging setup anyway.
