31 mpg

We were averaging a little better than 32 before we changed the overpipe, cat and catback. Plus the AEM intake, now we have a little more power and are still averaging about 31 even. Much better than we expected when we bought the car. We are at around 18,000 on the odometer.

My non-winter average is 34-36mpg lol. Even in the winter it's rare to get below 30.

I'm getting like 26-27mi/gal >,> I usually shift a little higher though but always on 93 octane. Its mainly city driving below 50mph, some stop and go, aggressive hooning though.

on a tank that is 80% city driving I get 25mpg. my new commute to work makes it 80% highway now and I get 34mpg doing 70mph. when I take road trips which lend itself to being close to 100% highway, I get 37-38mpg cruising at 70-80mph.

My 6MT BRZ for its first two years (16k miles, <14% highway, mostly short trips in western MA):
  • 25.1 MPG = Average in Winter (lots of donuts, warming up)
  • 28.8 MPG = Average in Spring/Summer/Fall (includes track day, many fun drives)
  • 27.4 MPG = Average overall (seems to average 26-27 MPG in-town and 32-35 MPG highway)
  • Fuel log
I averaged ~18 MPG in my RX8, and ~22 MPG in my 2.0L WRX with similar driving cycle.

No idea. It's a 6spd and I've always had manual cars so I'm used to getting the most out of them in daily driving. I'm on stock tires that are low rolling resistance, and keep on top of tire pressure most of the time. Also, I do have a trd drop in filter, so there's a chance 1/2 a mpg or so could be due to that, but in general? Dunno. I don't BEAT on the car and bounce the rev limiter/stoplight take offs/etc, but I sure as hell don't baby it either. I'm kind of surprised myself.

The way I drive as-is, I could absolutely back off and see better mpg for sure. But all things considered, I'm content.

I get 28.5mpgs with a 65/35 split, highway/city.

I have had it up to 35mpg before but it is hard to go the speed limit at 4am when no one is on the highway. Drive to work, 75-80mph, drive home from work, 65-70.

Update after a year: I get about 36-37mpg if I don't have an autox on a tank, 32ish if I do. My drive to work is just about perfect for mileage - I set cruise at 56mph until I get there. Driving faster than that makes it drop pretty fast. I also reset it for an autox once - 8mpg by the time I left.

Same here! I'm at 22 mpg. I don't think it would ever be possible for me to get above 30.
