Does anyone have the JDL UEL header and the OFT off the shelf stage 2 tune? How do you like it?

I just did this yesterday (JDL UEL, OFT stage 2). It feels great. The car feels more natural, and a little more raw, if that makes sense. It sounds great, and pulls harder throughout the range. Pretty much killed the dip. I still want another 50whp, but I knew I would.

Thanks for the input. JDL has kept me up to date on the status of my order and they say it should be shipping out next week. I'm really excited.

Very interested in the 3" OP,FP, and cat back with a turbo. I just got my car to about 400whp and my tiny Invidia N1 isn't working out anymore.

My header should be shipping out this week. I'm just so freaking excited. By the way, does the header come with the torque specifications?

Afaik no as the header doesn't change the torque specs of the head and oem bolts. Iirc it is ~29ftlb I did something like 36. Careful on going too high as you can damage the stud. Try torquing it and then starting the car while it is lifted as te torquing once warm. It sucks to do but the heads shift slightly when warm and this will help getting them nice and snug.

I'm still waiting as well... I feel that we've been pretty patient considering these catbacks were announced in this thread ~2 months ago. Also, it's annoying that the price of the dual exit appears to have gone up by $100 even though sound clips are still nonexistent. It's not a good feeling when you're penalized for being patient...

You aren't being "penalized". You are not losing/paying anything by the lack of sound clips and I don't see the correlation between said lack of sound clips and a price rise. Given that JDL is a small shop trying to fulfill orders already placed with them (mine included) I am not surprised that they haven't had time to please the wish for clips.

To be fair as a member of this glorious forum his feeling of self entitlement is clearly warranted.

Everyone that has paid for an exhaust has got it, I wish we had sound clips back myself. We have pallets of mufflers here that i would love to be able to sell! I have local forum members begging to purchase one and i won't take their money yet. We have lots of headers shipping out this week and early next week that will bring us to about the 3 week mark of pending orders. At that point I'll feel comfortable putting the exhausts on a few different local cars to get sound clips and more pictures. The price went up because these ended up being more money to produce than originally expected. It's not gonna be for everyone, we knew that going into it. These exhausts have more money in raw materials/mufflers/etc than what some of the overseas produced units sell for retail. We're doing the best we can to make these available to those who want them asap.

On the subject of not enough hours in a day...I'm waiting to get around to testing a few of these catted UEL's soon....And there's also a reason there is no intake manifold on that motor.
