Recoloring OEM diffuser

Has anyone tried this? I have the sterling silver BRZ and I was wondering if I should take it off and try to spray it or plastidip it to match.

I can't remember what PlastiDip's silver looked like, but is it close to SSM color from the factory?

Or should I look into ordering paint from Subaru or buying a thousand touch up pens?

Credit goes to @Turkish for these photos. As for how he painted it, you would need to ask him.

I think it's better black. It makes the diffuser look stupid and a huge eyesore.

Almost unfinished looking

I bought some WRB rattle cans from GrimmSpeed. I applied somewhere between 3-5 coats of WRB and 4+ coats of gloss clear coat. I let each cure and did a light sanding with 1000 grit wet sand paper between the WRB and clear coat. I also did a more generous sanding after the clear coat cured and then polished and buffed it before installing.

I agree with this opinion.

The lines of the diffuser just dont flow with the colored part of the bumper.
Painting the diffisuer just makes it stick out.
