Yeah, a whole lot of opinion in the past few posts. Honestly, I prefer the more mature front of the BRZ. Lines are cleaner and less rice. Some people don't see the front of the FR-S that way, and that's fine too.

But I love the FR-S, no hatred here. It's just a matter of personal preference. Rock on if you wanted to spend less, we all drive a great car here.

The FRS looks great with some dark housing headlights.
The chrome headlights kill the front.
I love it with the GT86/led headlights.

LOL! Thats one way to look at it I guess. I got my brand new BR-Z for cheaper than i could get an FR-S since I work at a supplier for Subaru.

What does this make my car, the indentured servant edition?

Young bro, why don't you leave us adults alone and get back into your Scion with glow in the dark emblems and crank up your dub step and turn your hat sideways and go rev at BRZ owners who were stupid enough for paying a few extra G's?

Oh, and no hate.

Poor @Evil Jesus. It's all the same car really..badges and bumpers are removeable if people dont like them.

Some people prefer Subaru. Some people prefer Scion. Some people dont give a fuck.

I'm in the don't give a fuck section. I drive it cuz I like it.

I apologize for invokeing the other FR-S related posts in this thread but like I said I was hoping that someone on the subaru side of this world could point me in the correct direction of a subaru badge for the FR-S bumper. ( I dont know if I could ever bring myself to telling someone i drive a Scion... I sound like a pretentious prick now but hey that's what the internet was made for right?! )

Well now I feel like I just stepped on a puppy! I'm definitely not hating, and I was mostly jesting. I do believe there's always some truth in someone's joking. Do I REALLY care if an FR-S is posted in a BRZ thread? No. I have many more important things in life to worry about, like hoping Overland Designs installs my Redline Good leather on my interior pieces quickly, yet efficiently.

Sometimes I post angrily in jest in a way to "beat someone to the punch" that might say something in anger, but actually mean it. I know I'm a nice guy and I frequent the forums a lot, so sometimes I assume my reputation precedes me. My bad.

Since we're talking about FR-S vs. BRZ, it's been proven at this point that the True Value of the BRZ is less than the FR-S, which somewhat accounts for the increasing (or steady) sales of the BRZ, whereas the FR-S is tapering off. Most people might think it a better deal to get a BRZ Premium that includes a decent NAV for less than an FR-S, and then use that money to swap to an FR-S front bumper if they REALLY like the bumper of the FR-S that much. Again, I almost did that same thing, but I didn't want a Scion badge and I realized I would be more unique if I went the "STI" route instead of the "TRD" route. Cheaper that way.

Being in Alaska, pretty much ANYTHING I do to the car is unique. There's only one slammed FR-S up here and maybe three of us FT-86 owners with aftermarket taillights. About four of us have aftermarket exhaust or modified exhausts (mine are just the tips at the moment). The scene is fairly dead up here and none of us meet up. Just be thankful that you guys can more easily mingle together.

When is next year's 86 Fest, btw? Does anyone know?

I just washed my car this morning and looked at the bolts. Mine is just one the installer grabbed and put in place. It's super rusted. Honestly, NO ONE notices it and everyone compliments the lip kit all the time, so I'm not too worried about it. If I were entering my car into shows, then I'd swap out the bolts for ones that were much more aesthetically pleasing. As it is, I'm winding down on modding the BRZ since I'm saving up to move to the East Coast next year. If things work out okay there then I'll start buttoning up the BRZ a bit so I can show it off. Alaska can be pretty harsh to cars, especially ones driven as frequently as I drive (41k miles in 20 months in a city that is 10 miles across). Yes, I've taken it on a 10k mile road trip through America and Canada, but that's still about 30k just cruising around the Municipality of Anchorage. The car has tons of nicks and swirls, but the Clear Bra has helped a lot. I was looking at coil overs, but the roads are so uneven and frost-heaved that I'm sticking with the stock suspension until I move.

I'm still trying to get Subaru of America to feature me in an article about a BRZ being driven year round in Alaska. Maybe once I'm up to 50k miles and three winters, THEN I'll impress them!

Anyways, sorry to derail this thread. I think the FR-S/BRZ hate is silly, but I come to the BRZ thread to get ideas on what to do or not do with my BRZ. It makes it harder to keep track of these unnecessary bits of information when my screen is suddenly interrupted by a beautiful FR-S. :FR-S Envy:

If I could get that beautiful yellow TRD FR-S that's coming out I so would. That's the color and trim and body kit I've wanted since the Twins came out. So definitely no hate here!
