Not the best way to create a long term customer relationship. Agreed with above, turn around and walk out of the dealership.

To zex : wait until you see the msrp from Subaru Canada. You might be surprise how much *markup* they added to the msrp in Canada.

I'm afraid it's supply and demand
On this forum we have hard core buyers who will travel all over the USA to get one and drive it back via the twistys at the right price

But for the average joe in the street or wife who likes the look of the car they won't shop around just pay the price to have the newest hottest car on the road the next day

Porsche / Ferrari / Lamborghini have done it for years

20% mark up? So it's 6000 USD mark up for Limited. I can see myself buying in-warranty used IS-F with a little extra.

I'd be like, "okay, here's my deposit", I'd reach into my pants pocket and pull my hand back out and give them the one finger salute. Then walk out of their stealership.

I dont believe Subaru Canada will be dumb enough to try to *markup* the price much from the FRS. And of course if they do, why not opt for the FRS. Some lights and a slight difference in styling won't be worth the extra couple of grand.

Well you could take that as good news, the message is already getting around.. from 5000 to 2500, just a matter of time before the message gets through their thick skulls no?

Well, that's what they've been asking for a couple of months. So, hopefully they'll come off the $2,500 markup. Otherwise I'm getting an FR-S.
