Markup over MSRP = Stupid Tax

$5K will let you shop the ENTIRE country and have your BRZ shipped to your door in a covered transport, and still have enough left over for a set of rims/tires.

i dont see it lasting long. a 20% markup is huge. especially on a lower priced car/demographic. with the internet nowaday you can shop anywhere and get the best deal. i bought my last car from a dealer 400 miles away since it was the only bmw i could find with a 6MT.

If my local dealership does the same I'll go to a non-local one. 5K markup is way too much. I could do $500 tops...

I'm not the least bit hesitant to walk out of the dealership if they try to charge me a penny more than MSRP. Everyone here should have the same philosophy.

Eventually they will gladly accept MSRP (or less) once the hype dies down and supply catches up to demand.

I am astonished that anyone would agree to paying $5k over MSRP. Simply amazing.

This might be cause I live in Canada, but how is this legal ? I have money down on an FR-S and the dealer actually is selling for invoice + 500$

Perfectly legal here. You should kiss your dealer's [fill in the blank] for giving you such a great deal.

BRZs are going to cost a fortune here as well due to low production and historical pattern of Canadian Subie markups. The FR-S is the volume, mass market version.

Get the fuck out of here.

That car, like all others, should be purchased at or below MSRP, not well above.

Laugh in their faces. Walk out.
