I wonder what they hell did they do to that engine.. something crazy like 9000rpm? is it boosted? Cause on OEM parts, those things have been NOS'd, boosted, blown to well past 675whp with no sign of stopping. The iCode ISF is @ 450whp NA... I'm.... befuddled to say the least. Glad that they are testing the breaking points of the engine under serious abuse though.

Or maybe they didnt really changed much of the internals to handle the added stresses....(which they should have done from the get go), so they just overstressed the OEM parts that they didnt change. Plus the videos sounds like hes bouncing off the rev limiter all day at every chance he can get so maybe the OEM parts arent made to handle that kind of constant abuse?

Toyota engines are usually tuned well under their capability from the factory.

So Orido blog about the reason why engine broke. He said that, engine run great on stock form, but when they try to tune it, engine go berserk. He said, he need to get a lots of custom parts from US to more depth program to run 100%.

At the Odaiba, in practice runs, he had to pull out the engine again, so hopefully in Suzuka (round 2), everything is ready for it
