OP, get a tune: Ecutek, OFT, tactrix using shiv's tunes, something... after you tune the only thing left is shaving weight, E85, or BPB's.

Here's a comparision of two dyno charts. A custom tuned full bolt on E85 tune vs BPB OFT tune. Obviously the custom tune has an advantage here but it should show you that E85 is far superior to the BPB's if you have access to E85.

Here you go.
BPBs + E85

BPBs + FI

From this thread.

From the same thread, 93 Octane Stage 2 with BPBs was hitting ~188 whp. There are some NA E85 cars around here pushing close to or over 200 whp. More importantly is the area under the curve. The BPBs push the peak HP/TQ down to a lower RPM than stock, while E85 makes a lot of power at the top end. I don't have a comparison of the two to see how the curves line up against each other though.

edit: But apparently Malt does.

This really demonstrates the power of E85. It's better than the BPB's at all rpm ranges. Granted the chart I linked was a custom tune by shiv with all bolt-ons possible, but OTS E85 Stage 2 charts(which I'm still looking for) are not that far behind.

What's sickening is looking at the ESC charts and then realizing that I've got more money in my exhaust than an ESC costs and then realizing my fancy expensive exhaust does almost nothing but adding volume while the ESC adds boatloads of torque down low. I've got to convince @shiv@vishnu to give me an advertising/fanboy discount on his OFT300 package

Whereas I don't have easy access to E85 and I'd like a little more daily drivable power, so the BPBs are perfect for me. It really is different strokes for different folks. I like that they're making multiple ways to get a similar result instead of focusing everything into just one option.

But if you had an ESC or normal supercharger, you'd still be wanting the cool exhaust and an E85 tune anyways, so it's not like it's money wasted. You know you would.

He's probably got enough free advertising already, which is too bad. I'd rock a massive Vishnu sticker on my car in exchange for discounted stuff. Oh well...

Whatever happened to that FBM intake manny?

Then there's this for an arm and an organ...

Oh I agree completely! The BPB's are awesome and if I wasn't considering going with shiv's vortec setup, I would have already purchased them from him. The fact that there is only one E85 station near me, which isn't exactly convenient for me, further pushes me in this direction.

At least shiv is awesome and takes care of his customers. Giving a massive discount on the BPB's is awesome.

No one's really shown that the OEM throttle body is a restriction in the system. If anything, it's larger than necessary until you're pushing 350+ whp.

That's what I had figured, not sure if the intake manifold from FBM (can't remember if they ever completed that or not) would make much gains on an NA motor as compared to the cost.

To the op. Like everyone said in here.. Get a tune. It will grant you more gains than any of that stuff you have on your car now but more gains with the stuff you have on combined. You shouldn't have headers without a tune it will lean out your car. A proper tune will transform your car into something new and exciting which will buy you maybe another year of pleasure before the addicition to mod comes back. Then you can try e85 and that will get you another year on top of the first! I agree with you about FI. So much work, expense and the potential to be headaches if you don't know how to work on cars. Although the phantom supercharger does seem enticing. I am just worried about its safety and how drastic it changes the driver feel of this high reving NA engine. Power is not everything.

Probably a tiny bit better in the low end without the big jump on the top end. I haven't seen a chart for E85 and the BPB's but I got the impression from Shiv's posts that it wasn't something that was ideal.
