Thanks for everyone's response. What do you think about the Phantom Electric Supercharger? Is it not worth my time? I just didn't want to go spend 4-5k on a Supercharger to be honest.

FRS-MATT, Yes I already dropped my car on Tein suspension and gram light wheels.

In my opinion, if power is the goal, you can't do it with NA. Just my opinion though
Power goals are important in this equation. That will ultimately decide, "Should I free up some exhaust flow?"

The flip side of it is the Innovate requires a little more maintenance and some good tuning. You'll also be looking at an oil cooler when adding FI to keep the temps at a relatively safe level. Even street pulls are showing some pretty high oil temps.

I think a good starting point is testing the waters with bolt ons and a good tune. Stepping up to e85/flex fuel, see if you reach your desired power. If all else after that, save up and go FI. The bolt on option has a lot less repercussions and worry-free maintenance. This is why I personally went with a supercharger. Reliability is high, maintenance is very low, and even in the worst case possible, I can still get home if a belt breaks.

Nice! Like said above, I'd venture maybe into the flex fuel area. Moto East has a pretty killer flex fuel kit.

I was in your same boat just a few weeks ago. Pulled the trigger on an SC kit. Goal being about or close to 300 whp on 93 octane. May go into the flex fuel area just to see what I can do, but I'll need a clutch, fuel pump, and injectors by then.

FRS-MATT, (sorry meant to respond to the above message)

How much did you pay for your SC kit? Also I don't know much about the flex fuel option, should I expect good gains. I got all my work done from VividRacing in PHX. One of their owners was trading his FRS back in so he had to sell/swap out his parts. I got a killer deal on the whole package (I,H,E,Wheels/Tires, Suspension) so I went ahead with it. The one thing they said is I don't need a tune on these parts. Is this false?

Dude, save your money. Turbo is the way to go. Superchargers take some work to get up to the power delivery a turbo can put down with ease. I like superchargers. Just had one on my last car. Guys with turbos on the same car would roll on me on the higher end without a strain.

Need a tune? No. Does it help? Yes it does.

I paid $3500 for my kit. My WHP goal is 300.

Turbo has the potential to do more than that. That's where limitations kick in. When you go above 300 WHP, you're going to need a clutch, injectors, fuel pump, and possibly a new tranny down the road. Mods start getting real serious at that point.

Reason for my choice on SC over Turbo?

A) Reliability. (Not saying Turbos aren't reliable, don't flame me!)
B) Cooler temps in a hot climate.
C) I can't get stranded by the kit.
D) Linear power delivery.
E) WHP goal is only 300. I don't need to lose complete control of my car with an absurd amount.
F) Less expensive. Turbo has more parts necessary. (manifold, 3" exhaust)

Alrighty I'll be that guy, what about a tune on 93 pump with the Crawford BPB? And an E85 tune with those blocks too...just a suggestion

According to @shiv@vishnu, the BPBs are beneficial when on pump gas. They're not beneficial on E85 or with FI. He's got a bunch of dyno charts in his BRB thread.

I read that thread but didn't see the E85 part...huh I wonder which has better gains, the 93 pump BPB tune, or a straight E85 tune.
