I actually had sent mine back to Nameless due to this problem. The replacement one I received wasn't much better, I originally had less than a feeler gauges worth of clearance with JDL headers, about 1/32th of an inch with OEM headers. My replacement now has about 16th of an inch of clearance with JDL Headers.
I just don't understand why they couldn't have bent it slightly more and brought it closer to the sub-frame. There is about 2 inches of clearance between the pipe and the sub-frame. For now though, I am keeping mine like it is. I couldn't imaging how 3" is fitting.

Imrac, my problem is the opposite. It's the subframe mine is hitting! The head and top of the flange seem fine, though it was a pain tightening the top bolt, no way to get a socket on it.

As for tightening the bolts, I had to use a couple of wrenches, I wasn't able to get a socket in there. Luckily, I had a short and a normal length in the same size to be able to tighten them down.

Damned. Just checked mine - no clearance at all. Can't even fit a banknote between the pipe nad the block. JDL headers. Now I probably understand why it's still raspy despite the quiet Perrin resonated... Don't know yet what to do but disappointed

I still need to pull mine back off and take a hammer to the front / over pipe where it hits the head... Its a shame that the nameless header made the fitment even worse than it was with the fa20club header....

I hope they get this issue fixed, I was looking at the 3.0" op/dp combo for my next purchase. This is making me think I'll be going a different route entirely though and staying away from Nameless parts for now.
Those of you with the JDL headers, how are you liking them? Did you get a tune and see a difference? I'm wanting to go catted and EL.

JDL has an overpipe and a downpipe (I think they have 3" versions)

Looking forward to seeing your results after a tune. Do you have a build thread?

Dyno: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...85#post1719185 Videos: www.youtube.com/thebatstig On topic, I had the same problems everyone else in this thread is having. I swapped out my Nameless over/front pipe for Motiv pieces. Everything is perfect now! |

Wow! We are just doing the same steps! How is the difference in sound with Motiv after Nameless? What catback do you run?
