OFT is very limited and really only has canned off the shelf tunes. Ecutek is a proper tuning solution.

fair enough, looks like that would justify the cost.

Not true. It can be custom tuned, though finding a shop may be more difficult and it takes longer so will cost more.

However, if you're not after that last ounce of power from a custom tune, it has some pretty nice canned tunes too. Far as I know, Ecutek doesn't.

If the quandary is exhaust or OFT, I suspect the Ecutek isn't needed and those canned tunes are a great start. If you get to where you're investing enough for a pro tune, the difference between a resold OFT and what you paid up front is probably a small blip in the budget. If you know you're headed that way you wouldn't be asking, so...

It basically comes down to this: do you want to make noise or power?

Cat backs have shown to make little gains on this engine, compared to a tune.

Probably. But i'm still looking for places that dispense it near me. Where I used to live there was an e85 pump at almost every station.

If you are thinking flexfuel, I would recommend ecutek... especially if you will be switching between 93oct. and E85 a lot depending on availablility

This is the app I've been using. Not great. But the best I've found for finding the corn juice.

I'm also on oft. Like said before, power or noise. I personally love the stock exhaust sound, and it is certainly louder with the tune too. If you're worried about not finding E just keep the tablet with you. It takes about 5 min to swap tunes. I couldn't justify a grand for ecutek.

Spoke with an FRS owner at a shell station on Army Trail about his valenti tails the other day. Not sure if he's on here but his car looked really nice.
I'm sure he thought it was weird that a dude rolled up in a white Transit van and started asking him questions about his tail lights...

I live in Montgomery, IL 1hr outside Chicago. PM me if your interested,
Do you still have the hood and trunk lid and if so do you have any idea what they weigh by comparison to the stock lids?
