His eBay listings are shut down as of the last few hours. He's either changing his name again or got reported and will likely change ids. It sounds nuts but this thread is working.

Wait, so if I work there for a month I can get a set of wheels at cost?

Not really the case but we do give discount to employees

And again folks there is no relation here - he was employed over a year ago and for a very short time.

What percentage of good transactions do you think get a review thread created about them? What percentage of bad ones?

We have been watching him for awhile but beyond bad customer service he wasn't actually scamming people (until very recently it seems). I would have never considered buying from him based on the reviews in this subforum.

I truly feel bad for what happened, but I did say it, this guy is a POS and was going to screw people over.
This probably could have been avoided if people before me where not shut down like a forum member who was threaten to be banned if he said anything else against their business.
In the couple of hours after I posted my negative review, he contacted a moderator to have my post deleted. Thankfully the moderator had the common sense of seeing thorugh his BS and called him out publicly on it, but my itrader feedback was DELETED. Thats incredible, an itrader feedback was deleted by a higher up in this forum just because it was negative.
Think, how many other comments could have been deleted and how many other members were told they were going to be banned for having this information out there and how it could have saved lots of forum members to be screwed and information that could have gotten him banned months ago.

Who was threatened? I am curious as I don't know that story.

I can and will continue to confirm that @fteightysix is a legitimate vendor with excellent customer service skills. I have bought from this vendor multiple times and have received top notch experiences each and every time. Please do not confuse this vendor with ViciousLED.

I really doubt the contract stipulates that the forum mods will have to make vendors look good by deleting and modifying posts and trader reviews when it does not go the vendors way.

What's been proven? I can prove with my bank account that I don't make a dollar from here.

This stuff happens in every community. And *every* vendor will have a bad experience with someone so I guess we should ban all vendors?

I wanted to know who was threatened because I suspect there's more to the story than what he/she told you. I can probably bet who it is and if it is that person than I know for a fact that they did more than post a bad review. I had to clean up some of it.

You of all people know that I don't protect the vendors here when they are full of shit. I've led the admins to the removal of a couple vendors now and the departure (by their choice) of at least one more who was mad that I wouldn't let him do whatever he wanted.

On the flip side, I'll strongly defend any vendors that I've had positive experiences with.

Regarding the vendor in question, I don't buy LEDs for my cars so I've never dealt with him. Based on the first bad review I saw (from someone I've actually met in person) I wouldn't have bought from them.

Since when is it our responsibility to protect users from themselves? When you go and buy a new TV do you pick the cheapest vendor on the internet without research? Why would you do so when buying car parts off a forum vendor?

It is our responsibility to try to serve the forum and remove users and vendors that are scamming people. I try to do that to the best of my ability but unfortunately I don't have a time machine to go back and prevent people from getting scammed. There are ALWAYS victims before someone's true colors come out unfortunately. Bad customer service by itself isn't an indicator that a vendor will start scamming people.

Every vendor I've worked with here has been great to deal with. I don't price shop though nor do I go with the unknown shops, perhaps these guys making 3% margins should be avoided by the user?
