It is a heavy car. It is bigger than the Twins. Its also a powerful car, and a comfortable car, and a well appointed car, and well optioned out car for the money. Coming from '13 370Z to my '14 3.8 Genesis is a real pleasure on my morning commute. Great GT car for the money. And 100,000 mile warranty.

Yep as GT coupes, they offer good value for the money. Seems like one of those cars you could get inside and drive comfortably for hours.

True, but then again at that price I'd just buy a Lexus and get the same experience plus 2 doors.

Show me a '14 Lexus with REAL leather everywhere with heated seats, NAV, full hands free everything with voice activated control, sunroof, 8 speed auto, 100K warranty and 350HP for $34,000. Ill wait here.

I was looking at pricing on 3.8 R-specs a while back, and I remember seeing some new old-stock cars (2013 models) for about $25k. I think new, you can buy them for under $30k.

You can't buy a Lexus in that price range. The closest is the is250, which I believe starts around $35k (and would be well short on power).

You can't lol. I'd still fork up the difference and get the Lexus just my personal preference. Not to mention the Genesis looks like ass. IMO if you want that much luxury in a "fast" car you're in the wrong market anyway. I've seen some dumb shit Hyundai did to the Genesis first hand because my roommate owns one (glued struts for example).

You realize the "difference" to get close the stuff on my 3.8 and youre looking at $50K+. Completely different market at that point. You get a base Lexus 250 with virtually NOTHING, fake leather included, an anemic 4 banger. My wifes 2013 Volvo S60 puts a hurting on the IS350, let alone the $35K IS250. Say what you want about Hyundai, they offer MEGA bang for the buck. Hows your TC equipped?

If you're so obsessed with leather just get a corolla or civic. They come with leather now. I own a twin so practicality isn't really a concern for me. If you're going to fully load an IS then you might as well upgrade to a higher model with features that come standard like the GS. That's how luxury brands work. If I had to go luxury I'd go with a Lexus or BMW. Brand new only you need that maintenance package for BMWs. Just my preference. I think it's great that Hyundai offers so much at such a competitive price, but I just wouldn't ever buy one. Also I don't own a tC so I wouldn't know, but my IS300 is equipped quite well for a decade old car that can run circles around that Volvo.

I only emphasize the leather because you cant get REAL leather in the Lexus till youre north of $45+ G's!!! That goes for a lot of the luxury car makers. Believe me, I looked. Youre telling me a 10 year IS300 is better equipped than a 2013 Volvo S60? What? You jest?

What I did not state is that it's better equipped. What I did state is that it's equipped quite well for an older car that can run circles or "put a hurting" on the Volvo, but that's because it's modded. You read?

I went off topic so much the debate here is the GT86/FR-s/BRZ vs the Gen Coupe.

No. The IS never came with a 4 banger in the States. They were all 6 pots.

Wow, I NEVER noticed that. Hard to imagine how a 2.5L V6 only produces 204HP. Wow. What shit.
