It's rear engine too! That makes it practically a 911!

I'm glad to see I am not the only one who can't tell them apart!

All joking aside, I think this shows that the definition of "Sports Car" is antiquated at best.

There is no singular definition.

It is the way a car makes you feel. That makes a car a sports car.

X2, to each their own.

I just don't like the way most FWD cars drive and feel.

Ok, since I own a solara as my backup to the BRZ, I'll say:
Supercharged Toyota TRD Solara Pace-car.

I saw it at the Denver Grand Prix as well:

"CUZ PACECAR!!!"

Was never concerned with what a car was called. As long as it was quick around a track, it was Ok with me.

I can kinda agree and disagree with this.

My STi was stupidly fast, but I never liked how it felt. But like I said...around a track or in AutoX it was stupidly fast.

My first AW-11 was slow...but a blast to drive.

My N/A Miata IS slow, but I love that little car. I have not tracked it (and won't because of the whole convertible aspect). May AutoX it eventually.

To me there is more than speed...its more about feel.

I have driven/owned a LOT of cars faster than the BRZ...yet it just feels great.

If you include the 911 as a sports car, and why would you not?, then you need to include the Bettle. Commissioned by Hitler designed by Mr. Porchse, RR layout, V4 air cooled engine. Volkswagen means "People's car", very socialist.

It seems they never really redesigned it either, made it lower etc, but it's still ultimately a bettle. (a bug).

Yea, yea, yea, so I was wrong, for some reason I thought it was FWD.

There was at least one of those mini-spiders that was FWD (other than the Elan), might have been the newer MG, but even that might be MR layout.

Look up the Mercury Capri...a lot of people got those confused with Miata's and MR-S spider.

I bet that is the FWD Convertible you are thinking of.

Hah, oh look, another thread on "my car is superior because the rear wheels drive the car when in actual every-day usage that doesn't matter an ounce."

Also the Campagna T-Rex and V13R are not considered cars. The company states they are three wheel motorcycles.

Also here, ya go. Sports car intended for motorsports.

It was the MGF I was thinking of and it's still MR.

You mean when driving it down to the mall (supermarket) it doesn't make a bit of difference.

This is my first RWD car and I could tell within a few miles there was a shit load of difference where it counted when your barreling down a twistie little country back road.
