I didn't. I shift according to sound and feel of whatever gear I'm in. Otherwise, 4500 rpm for the smoothest shifting for DDing where I live.

I set mine at 7k, not because I ever get that high, but for the tach sweep. BRZ does it standard I think, FR-S only does with the light active.

Assuming you're talking about the shift light (and not an actual rev limiter, as the title states):
I set mine for 7000 rpm. I normally shift at 7000 rpm at the track, but it's nice to know I have another ~400 rpm to play with once the shift light comes on.

I set my shift light for 6,500 because ........ by the time I can react to let off the gas ..... I'm just below the rev limiter ...... yep, the ol reflexes ain't what they used to be ....

somewhere betweek 6 and 7 for me. Seven is ideal but not enough time for the A/T to shift in lower gears. 6500 feels good.

I'm thinking I will be setting the shift light to 7000 RPM.
Where does the Rev Limiter actually kick in? 7400 or 7500 RPMs? |
