You cannot adjust your suspension from inside the vehicle (no bags)
Anything over 80, 20mph over the posted speed limit, or 55 in a 35 is considered reckless driving
Your bumper must be between 14-22 inches from the ground (doesn’t apply to us but pretty much you cant lift your truck that much)
Nothing below the AS1 line or 3 inches from top of your windshield (including things hanging form your mirror, they never bother with that law but they will fail you for inspection)
If your windshield wipers are on, your headlights have to be on
No tinting of tails
No tinted license plate covers
Yeah, thats Ohio, minus the prohibition of Radar Detectors.

Damn, I didn't know about the air suspension or tinting the tails...

And I thought it was anything 15+ over posted speed limit is reckless.

I think you'll find a lot of states have similar laws (tint laws tend to vary state-to-state), but they usually aren't enforced strongly unless you piss off the officer who pulls you over.

theres another law that states "you can not modify your vehicle to the point the frame touches the ground" and the law stating "you cannot adjust your vehicles suspension from inside" is refering to having your switch box inside the cab.

with that said you can have bags but it makes it difficult (sp). i know a lot of inspections stations will not pass you if you have bags.

theres a long list of what va defines as reckless but in reference to speed its 20 over unless you are in a 35 or slower, then its 15.

I know a lot of the laws are secondary as well (like no front plate, you have to be pulled over for something else, and then they can tack on the other fines).

Some guy tried that on me but I was let off for a warning. He said I was going 83 (but didn't get me on radar, he was "pacing" me) and I said uhhh no, I had cruise control set on 79. And then tried to get me for no front plate but I had just gotten the car from the body shop and had proof so he said screw it.

Who do I need to talk to about setting up a booth for this event?

I don't use the forums as a vendor but I want to support this event for the community; especially since it's 5 hours drive from me!

I grew up in Philadelphia and im glad I knew a few shops that let me pass on inspection. It sucks to know you modify something and you cant pass some silly laws. Once I moved to ohio and found out there is no inspection required im whattttttt?! Really?!. Im enjoying this. Save money on inspection every year

Yup, we're doing it again, here's a teaser on tshirt gonna look like.
We're pre-ordering it first, so we won't order way too much like last yr (it was my fault).
Pre-order is $5 & you just pay the rest at the event. We're looking at $20 per tshirt, so if you pre-order it, you'll just pay $15. If you like to pre-order it, please PM me.

Front will look like this & back will be TBA

Vendors

Input #1: That window banner would be sick with an 86 logo in the middle instead of the vertical line maybe on a 45degree rotation plus it would help it span the whole windshield IMHO. Just spitballing here. I would probably even pay a lil bit more to have one that way even if the only one. Input #2 Dumb question, is white the only color? Thank You!!

1. I had that way before... but felt a bit awkward, so went w this route. I can resign one made ver for you... but it won't be cheap at all FYI.
2. No, we have several different color options, but I just went w white for front windshield & red & black on small decal sticker. If other have any request, I'll look into it, but expect to pay extra.
