Nice! So $29,490! That's pretty good and good on their part that they won't mark up the pricing for you.

Are you planning to add any options at all? I think for me, I can just take the Series.Blue by itself.

Yup . I stuck with them though they are farther as they are friendly and open about information on future updates.

Well this is a tentative list and I haven't finalized them.
  • Car cover
  • Chrome fender trim (Might not as the STi badged fender might come next year)
  • Rear bumper applique
  • Sunshade
  • Interior illumination
  • Subwoofer (later on probably. Dealer suggested against the subwoofer provided by kicker for Subaru due to the price. Like I said they are open about everything and not just for their profit)
  • Any other updates new to 2015 or specific to Series.Blue when the list comes out.

Just be glad you guys get a chance to put a down payment on a blue series. im across the atlantic ocean and won't be home for awhile. i would jump on the blue series in a heart beat. $29k for a blue series with all its equipment, sti lip kit and sti rims are cheaper then it would be buying a limited and adding those parts alone.

It's a Kicker powered 10" with 100 watts for $500. You can buy a Kicker powered 10" with 90 watts direct from any car audio place for about $200. The only benefits are that it's a molded fiberglass box instead of a generic wooden box and that it has a Subaru OEM wiring harness. Which any decent car audio shop can work around anyways. I know this because I have one in my Elantra, for a lot less than $500.

If you're deployed you can probably still call your Subaru dealer and give them a sob story. They might let you go ahead and put money down on it and just finish the deal when you return.

What I mean is, does anyone give a crap that there are only 500 of each color?

Are you going to say "Yeah, I would buy this if they were only making a limited number but since they have agreed to produce as many as people will buy, I think I'll pass" or something? I don't think so.
Next year will more than likely have the exterior options/engine upgrades with a facelift, so I would wait to avoid mainly due to the hideous interior. I think many prefer to avoid the gimmicky "limited" selections, they would rather have the true product than something thrown together by the marketing department.

lol they won't sell out. Anyone who wants a BRZ already has one, and/or waiting for the 2nd generation coming out next.

Exactly what the sales rep suggested too.

This is the one I have. I think it's a CompRT woofer. I went through a local audio place and I think I only paid $220 or so. It does very very well in my Elantra. If you want to step up your game, they also have a 10" Solobaric Classic with a 450 watt amp here.

Thanks a lot for sharing this info and posting links gramicci101 . Most probably I'll be considering the one with 450 Watt amp.

Yeah, i'm lucky. I figured that this would be my chance to jump on it.

Sure, there are always going to be rumors of a facelift and engine upgrades, but so far, there has been no indication of that in the future.

We just don't know that yet. Until then, i'm excited to put a payment on a Series.Blue.

There will be, and surprisingly the changes weren't made this year. A facelift will sure be coming in the upcoming year, although not quite sure on the engine mods. If that doesn't give you any doubt, than you should go ahead and get the option you want now. I will assure you, they will not sell out. Think of it as pumping out the limited series to milk out money from the rest of the first generation models, making room for the new.

Source? I believe its been stated that they want this car to have at least an 8 year cycle or something, and really looking at the contractual agreement between the two companies, I'm more inclined to believe the FRS/BRZ is a one off car that will have a spiritual successor, not a direct one.

I can't think of any car that lasted 8 years without some kind of facelift. There have been threads talking about the future models and there are some hints about the cosmetic changes, but I don't know how to find them.

FJ Cruiser.

I don't see major updates visually. It will see nip/tucks like the S2000 had.

I don't think the changes will be major, but I wouldn't be surprised if the 2016 models had different wheels, revised bumpers, and maybe some interior changes.

This is the thread I was talking about. Obviously nothing is confirmed, but I feel like the evidence is pretty strong. Plus, Toyota will have to do something to compete with the 2015 Mustang Ecoboost.
