Been using QT gas since the day l got my car. Took around 3500 miles for the crickets to show up. Swapped HPFP and 3500 miles later they came back again. I truly believe it doesn't matter which gas you use, as long as it has ethanol in it our cars will sound like a bait shop.

Anyone have access to the Subaru TSBs? It looks like 09-54-12R, the TSB for the fuel pump, was updated on April 15th, 2014. http://techinfo.subaru.com/static/whatsNew.html -- scroll down to the bottom. Can't view it without a subscription.

I bought a deatsch fuel pump, and I told my dealership to install it for free since you guys cant seem to fix the problem with multiple factory fuel pump replacement. They eventually agreed, and well I'm happy. Should have done this earlier. Totally gone.

Had it for close to a month, close to 500 miles with the new fuel pump.

Where do you see a Deatchwerks high pressure fuel pump? It's not listed on their site.

That's a fuel pump, not a HPFP like the one that chirps. It's not the same pump and that one goes into the fuel tank.

Trust me, if there was an aftermarket fuel pump known to fix the chirping issue, they would be the richest vendor on here. Here is info on the pump he put in which does nothing in regards to the chirping.

DW65C series, 265lph compact fuel pump (in-tank) without mounting clips w/ Install Kit for 2012+ Scion FR-S
Introducing the first high flow, compact, 65mm pump.

Compact 65mm body for OE fitment
Flows 265 liters per hour (70 gallons per hour)
Available with and without mounting clips
Ethanol compatible
3-year no-fault warranty
Quiet and reliable turbine impeller

The only thing he did was waste money for nothing, unless he's really boosting high.

Update on the 2 cycle ashless oil fix. Very hesitant to do this, but I finally bit the bullet.
I started off with less than everyone here recommends @ 1.5 oz in a VERY empty tank. I filled almost 12 gallons into my tank plus the 1.5 oz of oil.
No chirps for the first 100 miles but now they're back intermittently. Kinda like someone opening and closing the door really quickly on a closet full of crickets.
Next I'll be trying 1.75 oz for a FULL fuel up.
I'm using a medical catheter syringe to measure and administer the oil to the tank.
I put the oil in first btw, then all 12 gallons. I figured this would mix up the oil best.

Also, this was first tank was after running thru a FULL tank of 90 octane ethanol free gas.
I'll update on the oil amount change as soon as I get there. Not my DD so it may take a few weeks.

Lol, I'm correcting it promptly before people waste money due to misinformation. This forum would blow up if a true chirp fix existed without workarounds.

I'm on tank #2 with the Lucas upper cylinder cleaner and I put it in last this time. Still don't have an opinion about it yet. Needs more testing.

I had my fuel pump replaced under warranty a couple months ago and haven't had a single cricket since.

Klotz Uplon works very well on crickets, at least for me. Not as good as E-free gas, but close. Oddly, since I think water content in the fuel has something to do with it, I've yet to have crickets while running E85.

When I do have crickets, I just pretend it's the supercharger.
