Looks fantastic in the light, muddy in the shades. I love the metallic in it.
Me too! Was torn between white and ultramarine. But going through all the pics online solidified my choice. Sometime I do regret not getting white because it's less dirty looking through our salty Canadian winters. Blue or any dark color is horrid for winter. But in the end, I'm still glad I went with the blue.

Ultramarine is quite rare though. At least in my area. I was the only ultramarine car to go through my dealer since selling them and they sold quite a few.

Replace it with blue ribbon metallic on a monogram and I'll get my 10 Series a sibling!

Wasn't that the second most popular color (after whiteout) at launch? lol

If I remember correctly, argento is actually the least common color.

Hot Lava is the most used color for the Japan launch promotions (HL being the Toyota exclusive color). Whereas Firestorm was Scion's choice for the US promos.

If that's what you mean.

I was seriously considering Hot Lava until I saw one in person on a cloudy day. Didn't like it at all.

One of the local dealers had an Ultramarine out front that I drove by a few times in different light and it looked awesome in every condition. Decision made.

haha, I suggested if you want a rare color and plan to purchase it this year, I would suggest ultramarine or find a used GBS, since GBS is discontinued.

and ultramarine seems to be rarest color...so if that color doesn't sell, then I hope the color gets discontinued!

but I do find it weird that Subaru discontinued ultramarine and scion kept it..but as of now, ultramarine will live on

I absolutely love the Ultramarine. It's just my personal favorite color out of everything available. When I went to consider buying one, they had an asphalt available and decided to test drive it. Fell in love they said you can either get this asphalt, a whiteout, firestorm red or get an ultramarine ordered. Got the ultramarine ordered, delivered in 10 days with 8 miles on the dash spent 5 hours doing all the paperwork and setting everything up. Drove off the lot a proud owner and have never regretted my decision since.

When I put a deposit on the car back in May of 2012, my first choice was Firestorm. I listed Argento and Ultramarine as second-choices, but had my heart set on red as it's my favorite color. I really wanted to own a red car again as well; the MX-3 that had been my constant companion for almost half of my life had been red.

The first batch of five cars my dealer got did not contain a Firestorm 6AT - only Raven and Ultramarine. The dealer gave me a call and asked whether I'd be interested in the Ultramarine; I initially said no, but they convinced me to come down and take a look. I then headed over here and looked at all of the pictures of Ultramarine First-86 cars people had posted.

I found that I loved the way it looked; especially the way it looks purple in the right light, the way it reflects the clouds - and I immediately called the dealer back with a firm "I'll take the blue one!"

Two years later, I don't regret it one bit.

I almost bought a firestorm red...but figured it was too flashy for me.

I love the ultramarine and its one of the colors I see on the road the least, next to Hot Lava.

I think if I didn't get firestorm I would have went with ultramarine. Either that or argento.
