Yes, 2.5" seals up perfectly with the stock exhaust system, including the midpipe.

It's not exactly 2.5", but close enough for a 2.5" system to not be hindered by it, or for a 2.5" system to be benefited reasonably by it's replacement.

Can anyone confirm the hardwares included in the overpipe/downpipe system? Is it just two bolts and reusing the stock doughnut gasket?

No hardware included. At all. You will need 2 gaskets and potentially (depending on their condition) bolts.

Strange. On their website it says it includes all hardwares but gaskers are reused.

Maybe because it requires no hardware apart from gaskets? Of course you may try to reuse the old ones if they look reasonable. Mine cracked in 2-3 pieces - so was little opportunity of re-using them.

I'd still like to see a dyno of this pipe. I'm thinking about getting one to have a little more power.

How big of a difference does the Helmholtz make? I have just the TRD catback exhaust on my car, and I am looking to get this pipe catted, but I can't find any comparisons between the resonated and unresonated

resonated only help on drone.

here is the dyno curve from their website. It is in their header back package (which is just the OP/DP plus the axleback as the midpipe stays stock).

And since the axleback won't add any significant power, I think it is safe to say that the power gains you see here are from the OP/DP

I've having a little issue with my setup. I have a major increase in VVT noise after installing the catted/Helmholtz resonated downpipe. If I go with the non resonated version would it get rid of the sound without increasing drone?

(Its twice as loud in person)

Just a guess here but I think removing a resonator would increase noise. Also not sure if the valve train noise has anything to do with an exhaust part. Let's see what the experts have to say though.

Check fitment. If the pipe contacts the engine block - that's the cause of your noise. If not and there at least 5mm clearance, removing of the resonator won't help.

Did you do the OFT tune recently as well? This tune has much more aggressive VVT tuning than stock and significantly increases VVT noise.

Changing to non resonated wouldn't do anything but make it louder.

Did you just get the nameless downpipe? Or is it the OP/DP combo. If it is the combo than you may have the OP hitting the engine block. If that is the case, unbolt everything from the header back. Then, just install the OP/DP ensuring you have clearance to the engine block. Once that is fully tightened into place, install the catback.

It's not a fittment issue, I have plenty of room. Everybody that has described that specific noise has had a nameless 2.5 downpipe combo with Helmholtz resonator. I talked to Ryan at nameless in a PM conversation , he told me that there was an issue with a small percentage of the resonators making that sound while paired with an aftermarket header. They have since changed there design with no issues so far. The new design is a round ball instead of the tube type, same style as the cosworth downpipe.

So if you have this spesific "marbles in a tin can" sound, removing the Helmholtz will get rid of it but you will have an increase in drone so it kind of a trade off. I just went and ordered the new design, lead time is about 4 weeks.
