Pictures of BRZ from Stevens Creek Subaru

I was at Stevens Creek Subaru earlier this week to pick up some things from the parts department. As others have mentioned in a couple other threads, they have a silver BRZ there for the week.

Some thoughts upon seeing and sitting in it in person:
  • It makes other Subarus, even the WRX STi, look downright pedestrian
  • Seating position is great, and properly low
  • Steering wheel isn't telescopic; might be a problem for some
  • Back seats are barely usable for short adults
  • Acrobatics needed to get in and out of the back seat, unless you're a small child
  • Interior has loads of cheap, hard plastics. Hey, the car is only around $25k, so costs had to be cut somewhere.
  • Exterior side vent (ahead of the side-view mirror) is fake; it's purely cosmetic and non-functional
Since it was strictly a look-and-touch, but no drive kind of display vehicle, I made the best of it and took some pictures. Here are a few below, while the entire set I took are here:

Enjoy!

Why would the vent be fake that don't make sense! Even my TC has real ones

Weird. The FR-S supposedly has telescopic. Maybe it's a pre-production thing (if it is a pre-production car).

What are you talking about? The tC doesn't have vents like that at all.

It's entirely possible that for whatever reason, this particular BR-Z didn't have a telescopic wheel (broken? missing feature?), or that I simply didn't pull it hard enough.

It definitely wasn't microfiber. The seats had two types of cloth to it: rough and rougher. Good thing is that neither was anywhere close to being uncomfortable, and I felt that they would probably not wear out very easily.

Dollars to doughnuts that you didnt pull it enough. It pretty much stays in its place unless you are actually trying, which I think makes it easier to independently adjust height and depth.

.
I really think you didn’t pull the steering wheel hard enough.
I sat in this particular BRZ yesterday, and the telescopic wheel worked fine.

Also the premium seat look MUCH better in person than in most pics.

This will probably come as an ODDball question to those who sat in the car,
but how does the lil seatbelt holder/snaps on the side of the seat HOLD UP?
From the picture they look like they will snap right off or peal off the seat...
(( If only I did not have work that day I would of driven to stevens creek subaru,
heck I pre-order my premium DGM BRZ there _ - _ ))

and ohh yeah about the side vents , I figure in a month or two you can ebay
colormatch "86" side pannels from Scion FRS or GT86s ... unless you went with
WRB ... which might cause some issues ... but for DGM people like myself it'll be a shoe in.
