There is truth to the to the track/autox bit but of course 95% of the time these cars roll on the street, where they cant get out of their own way.

Old debate that will never die.
On the stress I just ignore em. They don't have balls to track it to prove it. All show no go.

Yeah, imagine the excitement as you mash the gas and hold the wheel straight in that Camry. Oh boy, now we're racing... So much more enjoyable than a BRZ/FR-S because it's .6 seconds faster to 60 I bet. And that quarter mile time, wow, 7/10 faster. I bet that Camry is a real barn burning neck snapping hot rod, isn't it.

Oh man what am I going to tell Vin Diesel and Tommy Rice Rocket the next time the whole gang from Fast & Furious 15 want to go Tokyo Duriiifto? A car in and of itself is a waste of money. Power junkies advocate for spending even more of your hard earned dollars to use more power even less of the time because....everybody is some street racer in their mind. People don't have lives outside of their cars, real careers, other bills to pay or heaven forbid other hobbies to enjoy that don't revolve around pea-cocking your car theoretical figures in a parking lot with other like-minded tools.

My 9 y.o. son was riding shotgun in my BRZ while we were behind my wife in her 2.0T Sonata at a red light. When the light turned green, my wife took off pretty quickly and I had to work a bit to keep up, nearly redlining before shifting. My son noticed and said, "Wow, mom's car is pretty fast." I agreed.

Then he said, "But your car feels a lot faster!"

At 9, he gets what magazine racers don't.

So you're telling me (for the 274th time)... that my car is slower to 60 than a V6 Camry?

Those cars are older than many of us on this forum. It's 2014. If I'm a spoiled brat to think that a sports car should be faster than a grocery getter, oh well.

So in the end, slow car isn't slow because of car. Slow car is slow, cuz of the driver.
It's why my license plate is the way it is... if I pass you at the track, you're doing something wrong.

Or you might be in the wrong car. For example; something like a V6 Camry.
