On the topic of window tinting, does anyone know if going to the dealer to get my windows tinted be advisable?

I live in NY, so I want it tinted as possible without being pulled over and being ticketed.

You could go to the dealership they just usually charge you more. The dealership I bought mine from offered "a discounted" price of $300. I ended up having the guy that did my previous car do it and it was $175 for the same llumar tint the dealership was offering.

Tint looks great!
They did give me the same speech. I don't plan to roll the windows down for a week or so... That will ensure that everything turns out fine.

Just YELP it and find the tint shops near you with the most consistent and positive reviews. It has worked well for me.

The Tint shops know the laws and will guide you through the process. Most dealerships will outsource the window tinting and charge you a premium for that service.

Interesting. I'll try to find a cheaper option without breaking the bank. Dealer tends to be more expensive.

Nice setup! Really enjoy listening to your exhaust & watch that vid

If you look at the rear side of the door jamb, right below the latch there is a ~10mm bolt. Remove this bolt and your windows will not drop down when you open them. It may also interfere with automatic lights, I don't remember. My tinter unbolted them and told me I could put them back in 24hrs, but not to roll down the windows for 3 days. I just left them out for 3 days.

Does this cause any interference with the window and window seal?

Put my Tom's on yesterday. I wasn't 100% sold on them from pictures but I like them a lot more in person.

I'm loving the TOMS on the BRZ. Was wondering where you got them from since i'm thinking about buying a pair and installing them.

EDIT: Also, I was wondering if anybody could recommend a window tint shop in NYC? Looking to tint them as much as possible without violating the law. I believe its 70% light must go through.

Thanks in advance!
