Oh ok...

yes, and hopefully no snapping axles this weekend! It would be #2 for me. You don't have much to worry about at stock height though.

I'm very lost as to how I can jump into one of these events. I just want to try one out to baseline the stock suspension. Canyon runs are decent, but I don't think I'm learning as much as I would be in an autox.

I dig some digging... I do know I need a helmet. Are SCCA fees unavoidable? I want to get my feet wet!

The next event I can go to likely is the Vette one @ Marina. Can anyone join that?

I dont think the vette club is as anal as the bmw or porsche club where they only let their members in, but I could be wrong. I do know that vette courses are always fun, like aas

Honestly, you just jump into it. If you want to go to an SCCA event, you need to be an SCCA member, whether that means paying for the weekend membership ($15) or buying the annual membership ($90 if you're 25 and older, ~$50 of you're 24 and younger). If you decide to go to an SFR SCCA event, go to http://www.sfrautox.com/

More than likely you'll be allowed at the Corvette Club's Marina events. I've been to one of their events, and while I had some fun, I didn't learn much from it.
