Are guys running any kind of turbo timer. I want to pull the trigger on this kit but don't know if I should wait until they offer a water cooled option.

EWY, I don't think you need one. We've done numerous cars now, none of which we installed turbo timers....and none of which has shown any issues.

Im not personally no, I have a habit of letting my car idle a bit when I stop places anyways turbo or not. As long as you aren't going out and doing a bunch of hard pulls and then immediately shutting the car off, I can't see it being an issue.

At only $150, it's a no-brainer when buying this kit.
Does the drift armor crash bar fit behind a Varis Arising 2 bumper? The Varis Arising 2 bumper requires that we take off the foam bits off the stock crash beam to be able to place the bumper over the stock crash beam. Does the drift armor crash beam stick out as far as the OEM crash beam or the OEM crash beam with the foam on it?

BTW it looks like we lose our tow hook mounting location at the front with the Crash armor crash beam.

No turbo timer here. I let my car idle for a bit after running her hard, too. If you're not that type, a turbo timer is an inexpensive solution.

God forbid you loose that foam bit over the bumper. Your car might explode!

With today's synthetic oils, it's pretty much not necessary for a turbo timer.

The new oils don't coke up like the older dino oils do.

I have no idea about compatibility with aftermarket bumpers, but since it's designed to be an OEM replacement, I would think odds are favorable.

In regards to the toe hook, I'm going to speak with them about offering a version with a threaded bung to accept a took hook in the factory position .

Shouldn't be hard to drill that spot and weld in a threaded screw or bung on the back of the bar.

We've already had one customer do this, and it turned out great with about $2 in parts cost.

I guess the main concern that you can verify that would probably help with most of the crowd out there is if the drift armor bar sits as far out as the metal part of the OEM crash beam or sits as far out as the foam part of the OEM crash beam. With that info we can verify that the Drift armor crash bar will work with 100% of the JDM body kits because a lot of them require the USDM FRS to remove the foam bits off the crash beam to have the front bumper sit properly onto the chassis.
