Yeah... bought another car... been looking for one of these for years but finding a Widebody version that's not wrecked and not something I have to pay an arm and a leg for seems to be hard to find.

Anyway I am now the proud owner of a running 1987 Mitsubishi Starion ESi. Time for a 4g63 swap and build for this, but this means the FD is not happening now, oh well later on down the road I will revisit that project this new one is one I really want to do.

Wife had one of those when we started dating. Cool car. I've always been partial to the late 77 Supra or the 85 Supra.

The 1987 Mitsubishi Starion ESi looks a lot like a porsche of the era. I have a gutted porsche 924 in the backyard and the major difference in body is the Mits is more sharp in angles where as the porsche is more rounded.

I don't know much about the vehicle, but I hope you are able to keep up the same high quality mods and efforts as I've read about from your FR-S. You've got a lot of heart in what you do.

I think I would get in trouble with that... lol.

I was thinking more along the lines of this

Maybe with the Conquest Hood though

I will be staying with the stock rims when I find a set, redoing the interior to mostly but not completely stock. Not sure I want to fight with the stock gauge cluster still debating that.
The Brides from the RX7 will go in this, stand alone fuel cell so it's easier to build a fuel system. I will be going over the frame and everything else to redo it, I want it to be clean but not show room more of a Factory look that's been updated. We will see how close to that goal I get.

As for the motor, while I know LSx swaps are done and not hard to do I have enjoyed the feel of a turbo again and I always hear the DSM guy's raving about how the 4g63 is great so long as you don't get a 7 bolt so I figured why not give it a try with Megasquirt. Looks to be a much easier swap and there are a ton of parts available for them.

Maybe someday we will see. This one will take longer as the body and interior need more than the FD does but considering how rare it is I am happy to have snagged it for 500. But that also means it's going to be hard to find parts.

I have a friend that builds 4g63's if you want I can get you some contact info.

I see several monogram series here at Big Two, I guess they aren't all special order. 😊

Dory is disgustingly dirty and it's too damn hot to do anything about that. The inside is clean, though.

@Cross we make parts for them off my POS. Another guy that works with us has one as well. Stock wheels are awesome however not too many options left other than sticky pricey tires

PS thats an 83 hood not a Conquest hood

my refinished golds
