Keeping track of things in this thread, I agree that a discount might be nice for those who have waited so long It'll all be worth is once it's on the car.

With the new bends, are there new Dynos?

I posted this in the order status thread, but for all these whinner babies that were upset about people asking for order status, I figured this is a "Tech" question.

If I interpreted their post about the "new" bend all they are doing is getting rid of a weld. not changing the angle of the bend. basically they are using a longer piece of pipe to make a single section to account for what used to be a multi piece section.

if that is the case then there really shouldn't be a difference in performance.

Going from a weld to a bend most certainly affects air flow.

And since I paid for one product, and they want to sell me a Modified version of that product, I want to know exactlly what I am getting. It certainly breaches the contract between the parties.

Wouldn't a smoother bend equate to a more efficient flow? O.0

Not saying it doesn't.

I'm saying I want to know what I am paying for.

The design is not changing. The lack of a weld or two is all that is happening making these even stronger and increase the speed in which these are made. Flow is not changed anywhere near enough, if even at all, to effect anything. The "magic" of this header is located in a different spot, our welds are not making the power....

If you would like we can still make one with the extra welds. Trying to cut these down from taking 9-10 hrs to make a single one to about 7hours.

Why would you think getting rid of the weld is going to magically change everything? If anything less welding is better and you are getting an even better product tahdizzle. You guys got to remember they are making these things by hand it is not a quick thing to churn out a crap ton of these things by hand. Patience is a virtue, specially if you want to get a good quality piece that is going to fit well and last.

I totally agree. The way I look at it, one less weld, one less point of failure. I'm all for it.

Has anyone done an OFT with this header, and dyno'd it yet? Curious to see the differences the OFT would make compared to an Ecutek tune with this header. I love how it is, but if I can squeeze a little more power out, then I would love to.

None with the same tuner.

hey bud no need to get all "breach of contract" on us lol. i was just trying to help clarify what i thought they meant. of course they just did clarify it for us. below is a pic of what i figure they are going to change and to be honest i wish my header had less welds. dont get me wrong, the welds on my header look great but less welds equals less chance of future failure.
