Glare? It's silver brush finish not aluminum foil

The FRS projectors are designed for halogen bulbs. The BRZ are designed for HIDs. To do it right and get proper projectors, harness/wiring, bulbs...etc. will be more than $300 for it (yes I know you said + ). I know great projectors like the S2000 run ~$400 for the pair (not saying these will be as good). But say decent projectors will run like $250-300 maybe? Bulbs will be $100/pair. Harness kit will probably be $30. Hopefully Longhorn jumps in cause I know he has some experience with this.

With the costs of HID conversion and the possibility of it all going wrong. I'd rather pay extra for the BRZ. I remember a few years back when eveyrone and their sister were doing these conversions. Not many looked very good in the end and most just turned out plain fugly. I'd rather have something done right from the factory when it comes to these things, but that's just me.

Since when was there any talk of the BRZ RA coming Stateside? Note: I assume you are referring to the RA as the "sub-Premium" base model?

+1. Or I would rather just rock the stock halogens rather than retrofit some half-assed piece of crap conversion. Have to do it legit or not at all. Legit tends to be $$$. Might as well get it from the factory or OEM. I assume the JDM lights will be $$$. Probably eat up all of that $1300 difference rather quickly and most likely more on top of that.

You're right, one has a 2.5L engine making significantly more power and AWD, while the other has Nav and HIDs.

Plus all the other aspects; lighter weight, better road feel, better weight distribution, better transmission while the other has AWD for varied terrain/weather, more room for carrying people.

Whats not to say you can't order the Toyota HIDs. I'm sure we can get a GB for these which will probably be less than BRZ HID if you bought it along with the package.

Sure that is possible. The guy who was going to do that is no longer active on the forum (JDLM). However with the exchange rates to yen or GBP/Euros, I still think it will be pricey.

The OP, Toyotapartsoutlet, is here in the US. Who knows, he might be able to get at a decent rate.

LOL it's silver brushed colored plastic. It's not going to reflect anything.

True. Hopefully that works out. I was just thinking out loud that the conversion rates could make them expensive. OEM parts always seem expensive. Add on that it is JDM OEM and I'm sure you can understand what I was trying to say. Guess we won't know until people try.
