Nissan 370Z Purple Heart Vet

In a fast food drive thru when a silver 370Z rolls up next to my Silver BRZ. Older gentleman prompting me to roll my window down so he could tell me he loved my car and wanted to go run them out together, but he'd be afraid he'd fall behind because I had that boxer engine lol.

He's a retired veteran and spending his golden years tooling around in his 370Z. He's flagged me down a couple of times in the sleepy farm town where I work. Great guy.

I always get the boy racers next to me revving their angry hornet in a coffee can mufflers and lots of swivel heads from all walks of life. There are definitely more FRS' around me than BRZs. People don't seem to equate the two.

IMO the silver makes the BRZ look like a more expensive car than it actually is. It looks like a proper gentleman's sports car rather than a kid's Hot Wheels car. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I think colors like asphalt, argento and whitetout make the car look more expensive and mature.

Which is why a lot of much more expensive luxury sport and sports cars are usually seen in these colors!

No, a lot of expensive cars are boring colors because they're driven by boring people. You should enjoy life, and drive a bright-colored sports car!

White isn't really boring to me. White cars can pull off almost anything cosmetically.

Im walking to my car in NYC and 2 guys start yelling out "Stop lying, Stop lying". I thought he was talking to someone else until I started entering the car and he said "that can't be your car, how much did you pay" I told him 25 and he said enjoy. I guess our cars do look a lot more expensive than they are.

Just had a lady honk at me at a light to get me to roll my window down.
Started with, "is that a Subaru?!" She seemed so surprised Subaru makes a good looking car. She said, "that is just the cutest damn thing!" Hahah made me smile.

ever since the snow left and the warm weather came back (its my DD, so i drive it during the winter), ive had complements almost every single day of driving my car. A few days ago I had 3 people say I had a really nice car at a gas station while i was filling up and going to pay :P Two people approached me at separate times while i was filling up, and the other person was behind me in line waiting to pay.

Today another person came up to me as i got out of my car and said my car looked very slick. He was a little disappointed when he asked if there was an option for a sun roof, and i said no :P

That is odd, same thing has been happening to me. I have gotten more compliments from strangers in the past month than I did all of last summer. I had a lady on the sidewalk of my town yell over asking me what car it was and that it looked great in the blue. I also had a lady with an RX-8 standing around my car looking at it while I was working. Went out and talked with her, she wanted to get rid of the RX-8 and really wanted a brz/frs.

Giving this a little bump. Started working at a vape shop and where we park there is a body garage in the back. Let one of my co workers whip my car around the back and when he came back one of the workers at the body shop came jogging over. Asked what car that is and what engine. Told him it was a boxer, he got confused so I popped the engine bay. The second he say the bay he went "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" like his mind was somehow blown. Was one of the funniest reactions that I have gotten in awhile.

Genius of this woman aside, I have noticed that they do look similar from the front, at least in the headlights.

So on Friday, I was headed out towards some curvy roads near our house that bikers like to ride. I'm stopped at a light with a sedan in front of me, and a van pulls up into the right hand turn lane. Biker behind the van also pulls out to turn right and is so busy looking over his shoulder at me/car that he doesn't see that the van has stopped. He taps the van, flips his bike up, and it bounces back off the quarter panel of the sedan. We all pull off to check damage and I asked the biker if he was okay. He said kinda sheepishly, "Yeah, I'm fine. That's a really nice car though!" I felt bad, lol--the sedan definitely had a big dent that this guy is going to have to pay to fix.
