Aftermarket differential (LSD) options for automatic transmission (AT)?

If you track your automatic and have upgraded your diff, what do you have and what are your impressions on track and street? Or if you are a vendor, what would you recommend?

Looking at OSGiken and Cusco if they have AT versions.

I have a year-round NY street driven FR-S AT with about 10 track days per year, 14k miles so far. Relevant upgrades include JR SC with dyno tune, DSS aluminum single piece driveshaft and 600HP rated axles.

Being the LSD is not in the Transmission theyre interchangable and not specific to a transmission.

That's what I thought...when I looked up OSGiken online there was a "manual transmission only" comment...oh well

OS Giken must think this is a FF car. LMAO

I know OS Giken can be configured to your specification, but it's a little different compared to a Cusco setup. We toyed with different ramp rates and locking %. Currently, it's doing exactly what we're expecting it to do and it's pretty freaking amazing.

It's on my top (and only) 2 list

Please PM me with phone/email and price, options. I'm looking at 1.5 only but don't know what other variables are at play with setup and other bits to replace during upgrade. Thanks

Great to know, don't want to experiment and only proven setup wins. Have to chat with shop that will install, talk soon, thx

Install is easy as 1, 2, 3! Just kidding.

We can help setup your Cusco LSD according to your car's setup. Your mechanic should have all the proper tools to make sure LSD is installed properly.

Awesome, thanks! What are the odds that Scion would agree to install this when they replace my diff, so it's all done in one shot? How soon can I have it to NY? What other bits get replaced at the same time?

I'm not sure if Scion will do that particular work. That's fairly dependent on how good the tech is. If he's your BFF, then you might actually get it done in one shot with a solid runout spec.

OS Giken offers fitment and has proven settings for both track and autocross.
You shouldn't have any issues with fitment for either one.

Performance between the two is very different.

I am running a Guard Transmission Diff in my car. Lockup and Decel is way more adjustable than a Giken. Its a bit more money but the benefit of getting on the gas earlier and staying on it longer for a couple of 10th's is worth it.

OTS stuff from OSG and Cusco does work better than the Torsen setup.

We have experience working with OSG's setup with the 350Z, 370Z, and S2000, but not so much on the BRZ/FRS side. Their stuff is good, but some of their locking characteristics need be refined further for our application.
