Time for new plates. How to look up existing customs?

It's time for a new set of plates as I've had C-Goat for too long. Does anyone know how to look up existing custom plates so I can don't have to battle with the DMV person, or is that what I need to do regardless?

I dont think Oregon has a public user database to review. I think the current system is that you have to choose 3 plates and they give you the first one thats available. Pretty stupid considering how easy of a service this would be for the state to generate. At very least allowing to view availability....

I was annoyed about not being able to look up the plates I wanted too. This was months and months ago, but I remember I called some branch of the DMV to ask a question about the custom plates, and I asked if there was anyway that I could look up the availability of a plate configuration.

There wasn't, but the man I spoke with asked which ones I wanted and looked them up on the computer for me and let me know that they weren't available. IDK if they typically will do this, but you can give that a try if you don't want to mail in the form.
