It is actually more of an Anthracite color than the flat black. It has a silver sheen to it. Someone compared the two of the base GT86/BRZ black trim to the tS trim and it has a noticeable color change.

Aaaaah. Gotcha. Pretty cool. I'm anti-Alcantara, but I can see its appeal. I wish I was into it because I could get away with a lot of ideas I have for the interior that leather is resistant to having done.

It's still an oem part and cheaper than getting mine recovered in alcantara.
