Oh boy. Do your research before dealing with anyone in regard to tuning. At least it's a $300 lesson. Hope you keep a fire extinguisher close.

Oh boy...That's why I am still stock. Waiting to weed out the shady vendors/tuners. Eventually most will eliminated. I dealt with a shady tuner but luckily they dealt me a straight hand. I stood in the garage where they did my work as I refused to leave. They had been notorious for taking people's money without sending parts. I checked and checked until my exhaust set up arrived. Then right after my installation they shut down. It's disappointing to say the least. It must be a tough business when you are down to being thieves.

btw i was very impressed with ecutek service they emailed my to make sure the problem was resolved and they are a great company it sucks they let suck pricks use and distribute their products.

Not to be an asshat, but I feel this might be only a very one sided part of the story. How long did it went before you got a tune and saying "I payed him and he didn't send me a tune". Have you been using the ticket system to get in contact with him?

I'm not on either side, I've just read a similar story time and time again and its not the same answering a message in 5 seconds than actually customizing a tune for the customer.

You can be at the dyno tuning 5 cars and be able to quickly type a few thoughts from the mind and answer quick messages, but need to sit at a quiet place to push out a tune. Blowing up his phone/email/ticket system will only make him want to give you your tune less.

Now, if you tell me you waited a week for your tune, ok I would be mad too. But if you waited a few hours after payment and that constituted "I never received a tune"......

I was emailing him prior to the tune for weeks , and he was very helpful and freindly, the day i paid him he stoped awnsering my emails, and i wasnt emailing every hour just 2 following the purchase with my list of mods, the next day i got a bit anxious and just sent some positive messages nothing cranky, the day after i said he was a being a prick and not even giving me a sign of life that id like a refund if he didnt have time for a tune, he then asked my list of mods , as if he was going to get me the tune, the day after (friday) i knew that this was going to take till monday at this point so i got pissed asked for my money back and told him if he was this slow to pump out the tune how long am i going to wait for reviews, prob a rediculous amout of time.he told me he wasnt giving me my money back and if i kept nagging him he would make me wait longer so i contaced ecutek by email, 5 min later i got my basetune. and a message that i didnt have to do that and he has more to do that just my tune bla bla bla . ...now seems like he gives out a update to logs every week or so .. my last update had apperent changes to it other than the rev limiter.

fact of the matter is , for someone with his experience, and who has a massive library of tunes etc... it should be a walk in the park for him, i should have been like wow this basetune is amazing i cant even see it being better, then have it dialed in within few logs, It only takes a few minuites to put the tune together , and reviewing a log if there are minor changes to do is fast, for a "master" this should be as hard as building a dog house is for a ticketed carpenter , n/a tunes for this platform have been out for 2 years theres no reason good tuners should struggle with them anymore, and if its about time, tell people that your extremely busy and that wait times are high,

for the record im doing my own tune now and its amazing, ive done about 20 updates and im pretty much done just trying to get it absolutly perfect . it has NO knock whatsoever and i pretty much feed it as much timing as i could before the knock learn went down from 6 but i go wot instantly knock learn is at 6 and stays there, NO tip in at all,i can drive it like a honda and punch the throttle at any rpm without any more than -1 fine correction but doesnt impact IAM know im dialing in AFRs which im setting at 12.4 for now and will dial them in with a wideband next week prob.i did disable LTFTs so they dont impact afrs as well.
