Got my Blackstone UOA results in and found out my engine is real healthy! Yay!
![]() I was worried a while ago because I noticed I was burning what I thought was a lot of oil and my coolant overflow tank was really low on coolant. I asked the dealer about it and the guy I was talking to was like, "Oh, that's normal: my Forester burns a quart of oil going like 700 miles." I bought a container of Subaru-brand "Super coolant" and topped off my overflow tank. The new coolant didn't seem to go anywhere, but because I am paranoid I decided to send in a UOA sample anyway. Looks like not only are the head gaskets not broken, but I assume the very low fuel content in the oil means my rings have sealed really well? |

![]() Got my 6000k bulbs ![]() Looks insane. I know some people frown upon anything other than 4300k, but for $30 from DDM, I am in love Works with the WRB so well.

Washed it and put it in the garage for the night so it will be all shiny for cars + coffee and our little 86 group drive tomorrow. Whee!

Jumped in the passenger seat for the first time ever and handed the keys to my 16 yr. old son. The grin on our faces was priceless as he smoothly rowed through the gears. Let (encouraged) him to wind out 2nd gear so he could feel where the power band is. I was a proud dad as I watched him master the manual and comment that he now understands my obsession with being behind the wheel of an 86.
