My guess is based on the wording of Scion's press release: "better handling and stability thanks to a more rigid front suspension and re-tuning of the rear shock absorbers."

Which implies that only the rear, not front, shock absorbers will change. Front springs could change but "a more rigid front suspension" sounds like a simpler way of referring to something a bit more complicated than springs/struts. Otherwise, they would've explicitly stated the front springs would change like how they did the rear shocks.

The new exhaust is kind of cool. I am interested to hear the sound. Also, I am not sure if the weight has been revealed. I was wondering about the exhaust weight.

Pretty sure the exhaust is same. Just the tips have changed.

I can't wait to see the '15 FR-S in Halo. More and more pictures of the '15 WRX in the same color are starting to pop up, and it looks fantastic. It will look great on the beautiful curves of the 86.

The only downside is that my autoart Toyota 86 is whiteout, so it won't match my actual incoming '15. I guess the headlights and spoiler will be wrong, too.

If the frs develops similar to how the s2000 did, the updates may not always be "better". Google ap1 vs. ap2 to get a better idea of the s2000's circle of life. Suspension changes may take away some of the fun factor. Many will like the new suspension and many will prefer the old. To each their own. The biggest gripe people have is obviously the power. People complained that the s2000 was torqueless , so the f22c was put in the car. Many loved it and many preferred the 9k redline and character of the original motor. Too many people worry about the dreaded possibility that the car will become "better" and their current car will somehow magically suck. People need to enjoy their cars more and just drive them instead of obsessing about the unpromised future.

no offense or insult intended.
How do you know it takes away from the car? Have you driven one?

I don't understand it either, Toyota seem to want to improve the car here and these are VERY minor changes were talking about, bolts and re-tuned rear shocks.. I guess the only way to tell if any difference in driving dynamics, is go down in person and drive a 14' and a 15' back to back when they arrive. That is what I am looking forward to reading about, actual information.

Here is some actual information for you. An opinion on the new suspension from a test drive on public roads is in all likelihood going to be rubbish and not objective, therefore crap.

Sigh. No need to come off like that my man, were just talking cars.. So then to speculate if these changes are for the better or worse is more objective than actual driving feel? I think not, and it seems like a lot of people are doing just that. I am sure a simple test drive will not reveal all. However, couple that result along with feedback from media and forum users who track, and auto x, will go a long way towards seeing if the changes were in a positive direction and that seems logical to me.

Yet more than 95% of all FR-S will probably only ever be driven on public roads so a change in how the car feels and handles on public roads is all that matters to the majority of drivers.
