2014 Bespoke radio doesn't have RCA ask you must tap into the signal wires at rear amp. While at it I used a TTap for the remote amp turn on for sub too

Ah, well I'm not familiar with the FR-S head unit setup at all. I never had to tap into the harness.

I am very happy with it. It's got its downsides, but it's way better than all of the shit involved in building and maintaining a tablet install (which is what I had previously) and I have never seen a mainstream brand unit that I've wanted to try. And as a bonus, this thing even fits the bezel with no ugly brackets!

I, however, wouldn't recommend the Ca-Fi to someone that isn't good with technology. The stock stuff is pretty dumb, so you'll probably end up side-loading apps and whatnot.

Has anyone found a cheap 30 pin to Lightning dock connector that actually does audio? The one I found for $7 that said it did audio was a rip off that of course does not do audio.

The problem with this is that word "cheap". Nothing Apple-certified will be cheap, and good luck finding a non-certified adapter that will do what you want.

finally wired up my backup camera this afternoon.

For those of you with the OEM Audio Plus kit, the factory amp power wire (dark green) is unused in the oem audio plus harness, so you can just add a pin to the camera + wire, then ground the camera on the nut that holds down the factory amp and you're good to go.

For the reverse signal wire i connected the brown wire from the CaFi to the orange/white striped wire on the unused OEM harness.

Works perfectly.

So I am on the cusp of ordering this head unit. I just ordered all the wiring harnesses in prep but before I order the main unit I want to ask.

Does anyone have a DIY of exactly HOW this unit needs to be wired up to work in the BRZ. I realize you need to connect the powered antenna wire and amp turn on wire to the HU but can anyone explain in clear detail WHAT wires need to be wired where and connected to other wires? Do I need vampire taps or crimpers, do I need to cut any wires or can I just pull pins out of one connector and place them in the proper place on another connector.

I've read this entire thread and the information more or less seems like its here but its convoluted and unclear exactly what needs to be done and how. I would like to make my install as reversible as possible and the more information I can gather the easier I can choose the proper equipment I need for my install.

Thanks!
Sony

How is it? Lines? Adjustable? Which unit?

Oh btw I removed the TTaps on the rear amp wires and taped it all up. I noticed the subwoofer remote turn on wire I installed was 20x too long and exposed in areas. I think there may have been a short. All fixed and door speakers work via preliminary testing.
On another note: anyone using the RCA outs? I'm using the sub one and getting hardly any signal.

Its actually much easier than it seems from reading - now that all the info has been posted, though I didn't install an Aux adapter. I do have the USB adapter and a backup camera and they are working with my BRZ now. Mine is also completely reversible. Unfortunately it seems my unit is defective (no AM reception and the volume knob doesn't work) so I need to setup a replacement.

When I reinstall the new unit maybe I will take some photos and do a DIY.

I went ahead and repinned the SWC harness last week according to how I believe DC2R posted, but put off taking the unit out and hooking it up because I needed to go to Lowes to buy a metal file so I could file the mounting brackets down while I had the unit out. Finally got around to doing that today. Aux works great and my unit is sitting flush and looks better! Thanks all, you guys are awesome!

Should've just bent it instead of filing man, bending it with a wrench took all of 5 seconds and minimal effort.
