Yes, nameless pipe, they come either powdercoated or raw. I bought it raw and then my buddy helped me polish it up.

Nameless intake pipe also comes double ceramic coated inside and out which is what I got for mine. Can definitely hear lots of whine with it and the Perrin intake.

do you still have the plastic innovate pipe? could you do some tests/datalogs of IAT's at the MAF to see how much the nameless pipe helps?

I have the nameless pipe ceramic coated as well and I can honestly say it gets hot as hell.

I don't really have time to do this but the guy above just said it gets hot. Perhaps he can do some tests. I have the JDL UEL and not the Nameless headers so I'm thinking mine will be a little cooler since the header isn't up there.

JW- Does the intercooler upgrade kit come with the stage 2 tune or do you have to purchase that separately?

Thanks for the info. I too was told that the airaid box was compatible with my tune and that it would make at least another 7hp if I were to add it on, but I think it's too big to fit with my oil cooler sandwich plate. Given the limited space I think I may have to go with the Perrin intake. I can clearly hear the SC whine start at about 3300 rpm with my plastic innovate intake and stock filter. It really picks up at 5K So much so that people on the freeway stop trying to provoke me when they hear it pick up. Below 3K the SC just makes a funny whirly noise, like if the car stereo had a bad ground (not that I ever bother to turn on the stereo).

I almost went with the Forester oil cooler as well, but decided to go with a front mounted cooler instead because it just seemed easier to install for a newb like me. With standard rubber hosing it doesn't look out of place in the engine bay. A cop I met was actually surprised when I told him that it wasn't stock. He said he would have expected a sports car like ours to come with one from factory. He was also surprised to see that our gauge cluster doesn't have oil pressure and oil temp gauges.

I don't see the Nameless intake pipe on their website, so I guess it's special order only? I imagine the powder coat should help with airflow as well as combating heat?

I'm curious, when you got your tune form Bill did it come with 4 maps or 2? Mine came with 4, 2 maps for 91 octane and 2 maps for 93 octane.

Dumb question, but im from Australia, if the kit comes with a 93 octane tune and I use a 98 octane tune, this wont cause problems will it?

Its a different measuring system for the octane. Your 98 is ~ our 93.

Just got the MAF flanges in to make some of the "warm" air intakes. Should come in under $200 and whine more than your girlfriend when she sees how much you spent on the car

Frankly I've not been impressed with anything that uses the stock snorkel. Yes, it is a well designed piece, but it is sized for 200 crank hp. It is just unfortunate that the opening in the front bulkhead is so small and narrow, makes it nearly impossible to make a viable aftermarket piece that both flows better and can be mass produced. I think with some fiberglass works or CF you can make a real nice one.

Those nameless pipes look really nice, but I would definitely ceramic coat it. The plastic the stock kit uses retains heat much less than a big piece of stainless, ceramic will at least give it a fighting chance. Our MX5 intakes are exclusively ceramic coated for this reason.

I was waiting on yours for quite some time, but knowing that you have been busy and no ETA, I ended up just getting the airaid box.. lol. I'm pretty impatient so i'm surprised I held out this long

I'm still curious to see your setup though so if you have any more info on it please pm me or shoot me an email. Just want to see wtf this thing looks like

That's why you can remove the snorkel with the Airaid box and pick up 20% more flow. I wish I could find the flow test but I can't find it on the forum now.
