All I know is there better be lots detailed pics and some vids and "DATA" behind all this hype. Oh and hopefully not product release dates of 2015...

How many are prepared to do a full motor build to handle that though? What would be nice is a SC in between their existing one and the 335. That and hopefully one that runs MUCH cooler.

Exactly what about it? Seems to be somewhere near the unicorn ... I dunno.

the interesting thing about the bolt on SC kits with no internals is they all seem to peg at about 280Bhp is this a knock limit thing do we think? Or is this the happy limit of cylinder pressure before things go 'boom'

Very good question I have same question myself. However it was stated that with Innovate 335 stock internals are indeed "not enough". So I think there is a fine like. As we have all learned with our high compression engines keeping the boost respectably lower and maintaining a higher quality of gas is paramount as the engines and tunes are very particular to octane.

Honestly, probably very few people would do a full motor build to support it, much less even be interested in it once they saw the price tag Cosworth will want for it. Cosworth has always been a quality over quantity company though. How many monster VQ's are out there with their top shelf parts? Only a handful, and there's almost an infinitely larger customer base for those than exists for the twins.

My main issue with the Innovate kit is the lack of quality control with intercooler leaks, hardware failures and overall fitment issues. For something with that level of engineering behind it you figure they'd have equally good quality control as well. I'm not putting all of the blame on Innovate for this however they are ultimately responsible for it. They handle it customer concerns well but I'm still not interested.

A larger blower should run cooler anyways since you won't be approaching the maximum rotor speed capable of the unit. I personally would be more than happy with a 335 blower and have strongly considered building my own setup around an appropriately sized whipple or eaton twin screw. The main question will be, will Cosworth sell the twin screw kit separate or am I going to have to buy the entire power pack to get it.

The truth is spoken. I used to drop by the nameless thread just to read the heart break and have a giggle.

I cosworth though.

But those stock cars will still have their warranties.
Don't argue based on the financials: this route makes no sense from that perspective.
The only reason to spend the money is because you want the thing, pure and simple.
If you can afford it, I see nothing wrong with that.

On top of that, many people don't have $20k to lay down to buy a brand new car and throw FI mods at it right away. If you can afford that, you can afford the $75k corvette.
