Agreed. Mike knows a lot, but he's constantly doing this...whether or not he's right isn't even important anymore since it just looks like two vendors duking it out. Alas this the motorsport forum, so I'll see myself out.

Agreed to all of the above! I'll gladly continue this in PM, and anyone that needs technical specs, track setups, graphs, PM me I'd be happy to help with whatever I can.

Cheers guys and keep repping these awesome cars on the track. I saw the results on the other thread and pretty impressive times.

Same here.

I found Fortune's position on some of this of interest: http://www.fortune-auto.com/shocktech.htm; $100 for a set of dyno plots taking ~3 hours to produce is quite a bit less than I paid for my last set.

To the OP: Have you considered MCS 2-way non-remotes? They are priced in the same bracket and have a large adjustment range.

Nothing against FA, just giving you more options.

Posting up actual dyno graphs would be a good start.

Also, your statements about Penske/JRZ/Moton/Sachs being only for professionals is total BS. I can probably name more than 10 of my autocross club members that have these shocks on their cars and they are not "pros", but just serious about their sport.

Many companies and vendors try to sell shinny crap as racing parts. As Mike is pointing out, this is the Motorsports section.

Let's see some real results from real dynos and some real race/track feedback.

This is very true. IME the main strength of the $$$$ shocks is their ability to smooth out bumpy lots. This also carries over to street, which is the reason I bought mine. On glass smooth lots like Toledo there's no time to be gained over Koni Sports.

MCS was formed by the people who used to be in Moton ( before Moton was absorbed by AST).

There is a much larger backstory to that than what is publicly discussed.

I like this being hashed back and forth in the open rather than by pm.

Information is good for customers, this thread has the potential to produce lots of information.

Im with you. I have learned a ton on this forum. While I can see it rubbing some people the wrong way (and even me sometimes) I think CSG understands that. They may lose customers, I just hope it isnt too many. I kbnow I appreciate all the info they provide along with RCE even if half of it is way over my head. Lol

speaking of which, my 500 series arrived yesterday

they look like good quality set and they did a great job on packaging too..I've already installed fronts but since I was working on my custom ducting project didn't have enough time to install the rears, hopefully I can adjust them and go to the alignment tomorrow so I can attend the weekend's track events
