Personally, I've talked myself out of a shorter shifter as I find the stocker to be pretty short as is. It's your ride, but with something like that I'd ask myself what I don't like about it and if a shorter shifter fixes that. My $0.02; if you do go forward with it though, I'd be interested in seeing how compatible to aftermarket goodies it is.

Haven't updated this for awhile. Finally got my resonated midpipe in, but its finals week so it won't go on till next week. Then it's off to my friend's to install everything.

I also made a purchase today with another custom Husker touch to it.

I installed the Kartboy transmission insert, but ended up taking it out because it did not do much, and it caused a lot of NVH. The MTEC springs, however, are fantastic.

Here is a picture of the header installed. I love it!

This is a picture of it just a day after driving. It's hot in there:

Here is my new Beatrush reverse lockout lever and custom Husker shift knob:

Got my new plate and frame put on

And last but not least, installed my white HellaTone horns. The pic is crappy, but they look awesome and sound great! Much better than the stock weenie horn.

How do you install the lockout? I was looking at that exact one and it looks great on your car.

Thanks man! I really like it too. I took it to my buddy's shop and he helped me out with a punch set. We put it in reverse, and hammered away at the punch. It finally popped out, you just have to be patient. I used these instructions and tips:

Your exhaust sounds great! I plan on eventually installing the FT86SF non-catted UEL header with Motiv Concepts hi flow catted front pipe and over pipe and FT86SF V1 cutback with resonator. Ours should sound similar once I am caught up to you exhaust wise! Which that should be sooner than I originally anticipated, as I do not think I will be doing strut tower bars in either the front or the rear. RCE Tarmacs with Bilstein shocks has really balanced the handling characteristics of the car and all I really need to do is firm up the drivetrain, add some camber adjustability, and install some adjustable sway bars to fine tune front and rear stiffness. I think I will be done with suspension at that point and then on to power!

How are you liking your suspension set up?

I love it. Perfect for daily driving and then much better than stock at autox.
