Does anybody here have this seat? What do you think of it? Have any pics of how it fits in your FRS/BRZ?

I have a racetech 4009 in my ae86. It's definitely a top quality seat. Very solid. Compared to my bride in the gt86, the racetech is much more solid. That's why it's in my faster car.
Compared to the Bride, it's definitely a larger seat. You sit a lot higher. Not so much an issue in the ae86, but I think I'd sit too high, even mounting it to the floor in the gt86. Racetechs will get very hard to come by soon. They're business burnt down last month. I'm not sure if they're rebuilding. |

No worries.
Heres some pics I took comparing the two. You can see how much larger the racetech is. Also the lip on the front and thickness of the base, which prevents it from sitting as low as the Bride. I certainly feel alot safer in the Racetech. But the Bride sits much lower. First few pics are old, car was still street legal, seat was on base/rails. Last few are with seat mounted to floor. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm actually tempted to see how the seat looks in the GT86 now. Even though I know it'll sit way too high if I don't mount directly to floor. |
