Gotta say I am disappointed in the video. To much bitching about the interior and not enough driving. I would like to see some track head to heads vs FR-S and a focus ST? hint hint...

I'd say STI>BRZ>WRX.

It all depends on what you want. The WRX is by far the best deal as a daily driver. BRZ is more track ready but a harsher DD. The WRX STI in my mind is the worst bang for your buck due to its high price, still low outputting 2.0 same EJ motor. For 35-40K there are much better cars out there unless you are a track junkie, then the STI is worth it.

Just out of curiosity, what cars would you put ahead of the STI?

Just to be clear, I totally agree with you tho. I can't believe Subaru gets away with using basically a 10 year old engine in a 2015 model, lol.

I cant comment on weather the twins or the wrx should be first. Trying to some seat time in the 2015 models is hard.

Oh sorry, I think you misunderstood me. I was asking if you had $35-$40K to spend on a car, what would you choose above the STI?

I agree with you that they seem a bit overpriced given that they're $35-$40K for 10 year old engine technology. Doesn't seem like a great value there.

Had to give honest feedback about the car. Also, we are saving some of the driving for the track...which we just filmed this weekend.

Sorry to disappoint

Umm Used M3, Mustang GT, Camaro V8, Porsche. For new cars that are ready to track out of the box like an STI is, not sure

Cool video...I've watched a lot of the others you guys have done and have enjoyed them. However, I was kind of expecting based on the title that there would be driving on a track, and maybe some discussion in a bar. Not sure why it's called 'Bar and Track' if you aren't gonna do either of those things. Regardless, thanks for making the video...I'm looking forward to see what you guys and other aftermarket companies come out with for the new model year. I'm gonna test drive both this and the BRZ as I'm still undecided on which I want.

it would have to be a huge improvement over the previous gen to say that. looking at car and drivers lightning laps, the last one was slower than v6 mustangs despite the mustang being pinned to the speed governor for almost 10 seconds. 40k is a fuckton of money.

The suspension in the new sti is fantastic. That will definitely help improve times, I'm sure. The gr chassis STI was geared towards too much understeer. The new one is far more neutrally balanced & is very well planted.

On phone I am. Therefore, if mistakes I make, Frank Oz blame you should.
