28K for the limited is what I'm expecting on the high end, any more than that and we're walking on fragile ground due to the FR-S and its price. Sure it's loaded in comparison, but is it justified (in the buyer's mind)? I can see some members puckering up for when they hit us with that, and I'm not referring to a kiss...lol...

I agree, I think it is stupid at what Scion priced the FR-S..

Look for $25K for the premium and $26.6K for the Limited. Its not $3k difference in price from the premium to the limited....

The above prices+Shipping...

You really can't put a price on something like that. Well, you could but it would be fractions of a penny so why bother

I hope not, but after their statement about wanting the BRZ to be exclusive were a bit scary.

The largest difference I posted was $2500. If Subaru is serious about low volume and exclusivity, then I expect $1000 to a $2500 premium.

Personally I'd like to see $22K for the lower model just as an FU to Toyota

I know UK/EUR pricing is not a 1:1 match with our USD pricing, however I did some analysis just for fun.

Took the exchange rates into account and looked at the STi, Forester (lowest grade), Outback(lowest grade), and the ft-86 and their UK prices. I then converted them to the USD equivalent using today's exchange rate to get a USD price.

Next I took the USD prices of the vehicles above (tried to match the trim levels as close as possible), and divided them by their respective UK-USD converted price. The average US price is only 68% of the UK-USD converted price.

I know this isn't 100% accurate, however using the methodology above I was able to get a USD price of:

24995(uk GBP price of gt86)*0.68(USD % of UK price)*1.56(GBP/USD fx rate)= $26,493 or $26,500 for the Premium

Figrue $1,500 more for the Limited model, $28,000

Lets see how close I get

The more I look at the math and the FR-S USD price, the more i think the BRZ premium will be a 25k+ car.
