there are a lot of companies that cnc from forged blanks. i have a set sitting in my house for sale right now actually.id be interested in seeing how these are made forged without cnc cutting though. would be pretty interesting and im assuming thats the process since they say only 3 companies do it

a lot of companies, big name and small ones, that claim forged wheels are usually forged faces with cast barrels (or was it the other way around? i forgot). true one piece forged wheels are rare and expensive.

That depends on your means, goals and priorities. Some would say a Porsche is too expensive for street use too. It's just their way of saying I can't appreciate or afford it, so therefore write it off.
Me, I put beautiful, lightweight, super strong wheels before tail lights, leds, fake carbon fibre and other such things. They'll easily last as long as I keep the car and being top quality will retain a lot of resale value if you choose to flick them. I won't though. I'm a "Do it once, do it right" kind of person. |
