It truly is the silent killer among car enthusiasts.

So, if you do something to your sports car that defeats the purpose of the sports car and contradicts its definition, it is inherently retarded. This fad, by definition, ruins the car!
So does that mean that everybody who spends their entire build thread adding plasti-dip, pin striping, and replacing every bulb with LEDs is ruining the car? All the money they're spending isn't enhancing the performance of the vehicle right?

I guess everybody that has put 18s on their car while being N/A has also ruined it since it has performance disadvantages compared to 17s.

There's a difference between customizing and doing something that is detrimental to the integrity and performance of the vehicle.

Never said they were. But 18s aren't a necessity with this car at stock power levels.

Right, like adding 17 cans of plasti dip and spray paint.. Cause that adds weight right? There's 14,000 threads of people making decisions on what wheels to buy because one wheel weighs 17.5lbs and the other weighs 17.2lbs. I guess every little bit counts right?

But basically this forums wants to be selective. So people here want to pick and choose what to hate on, regarding what "ruins" this car. I still cant help but notice that almost half the people on this forum don't even track the car, they just use it for commuting. So does it really matter if some of the mods they do lower their lap times, that they aren't really doing, by a few tenths of a second?

No. It doesn't.

First off, why does this new breed of car enthusiast always cry when someones hideous car is being ridiculed. "Oh don't be a bully, he likes it so its fine. You guys are so mean, your going to make some one cry." We all have opinions, and in my opinion the stupidity of this herrafrush thing puts the big wings, body kits and neon lights of my day to shame (no that was never me).

Second, I actually don't mind it so much when someone does this to a Jetta, or a TC, or maybe an Impreza 2.5i. But ruining a perfectly good performance car is just plain wrong.

Third, it doesn't really matter anyways. All of these herrafrush bros will be diesel bros within a years time. It seems to be the natural progression of things. Anyone with a ricey car, or any car of questionable taste, eventually buys some kind of lifted truck that they claim to be a Ferrari killing rocket.

Forget herrafrush, hellaflush, hexaplush, fluffybush, or what ever other "tucked styles there are". Oni is just plain stupid. IS there a logical answer for why someone needs to 45 there wheels? Refer back to post 68. We have an example of nice and an example of WTF.

What exactly is it called?

It is like buying an awesome HDTV, and using SD bunny ears. Our buying a computer with 8gb RAM and replacing it with 2gb. It makes no damn sense.

So by that logic, anybody who buys this sport car and doesn't do sporty things with it(track events) makes no damn sense.

Gotcha
