If you are having trouble with your faceplate sitting flush, you might be using the wrong holes on the side of your unit to mount your brackets.

I had mine like this:

I just couldn't get my dash trim piece to snap in. I trimed a tiny bit off the front edge of my brackets and I managed to get the bracket to move forward a notch.

My dash piece went on perfectly!

I'm really happy with the unit so far! All I have left to get working is the aux jack and thanks to the handy chart that Deathalo posted I don't think that is going to be too bad. Thanks for all the wonderful tips guys.

for what car? it will do steering wheel controls on the right car. of course the supplied harness isn't wired as such. but it DOES work if you wire it up.

Thanks for the pics, I have mine like your first pic, so time to trim it a bit!

Disappointed that the app storage is only 600megs. Maybe they can get us a Rom that partition s it differently

I just bent the front part of the bracket a little bit, say 1-2mm outwards with a pair of pliers. easier than trimming

Yeah, that does blow. Someone in this thread actually already contacted Ca-Fi and they said they'd issue an update.

Tronsmart ships their Android hdmi sticks the same way. People have made flashing methods so you can decide how much you want to allocate to apps and how much to "sdcard".
Would definitely like to see root so we can edit build.prop to make it look like a nexus 7 or something in play store. Many apps don't show up for me.
Also sorry if this has already been answered but if I want to try a USB modem it would HAVE to go in place of the Wi-Fi module. Can't have both right?
One more thing: anyone been able to turn off auto dim? Seems to be either headlight or time linked. Both dim it way too much at 7-9 am. Two solutions I might try is install an backlight control asp like Lux or cut the headlight wire....

Yea, I asked them about a compatibility list for this particular unit...and they did not understand my question.

There's a setting I remember seeing in the car settings that lets you turn that off if I remember correctly.

I'm not having any issues with brightness with the headlight feature turned on (dims head unit when headlights are on), but you guys that aren't satisfied with that can always pay a couple bucks for Tasker and set brightness according to the time of day.

any of you guys have any luck getting DashCommand to work with this head unit yet? Under the DashCommand settings when i try to select the OBD2 adapter (that i have paired with the head unit already), it won't let me select it.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with DashCommand, It's similar to torque, but much easier on the eyes. You can watch the video below to see how the default interface and layout looks.
