Anyone that is looking to buy this 3" exhaust, I am confident you will love it. The fitment is excellent, quality too and the sound with the Borla UEL.. ohhh the sound .

If you can't tell, I do enjoy my Perrin 3" exhaust

We want our part to be compatible with all the after market parts on the market as well.

We also want to leave clearance for the thermal blanket that we are designing for the overpipe. The thermal blanket will help eliminate the excess heat that the overpipe creates without a blanket.
Understandable, thanks for the clarification.

Are you asking if the 3" catback exhaust is louder than the 2.5"? If so, the answer is yes. The 3" only comes in a resonated setup.
How MUCH louder is the 3" vs 2.5" (both resonated)? I've heard the 2.5" in person. I think it sounds great and not too loud. I'm just worried that the 3" will be too loud in the cabin while driving.

The best comparison we have made thus far, is that the 3" resonated sounds like the 2.5" unresonated version with a bit more of a deeper tone.

I typify unresonated with drone at constant speeds. With the stock headers / cat, does the 3" drone at all? I had a very negative experience with my last car, attempting to get rid of drone (never was able to do it once I started modifying the exhaust) so I'm a little squeamish but would love the deeper tone of the 3".

With the setup you are describing, along with the resonated 3" catback, it is drone free.

The tips actually sit pretty flush with the bumper. I attached a few photos below. Please excuse the blinding sunlight

It would be nice if the tips stuck out longer, but I'm sure it looks great, as well as we heard...sounds great!

Cool

I plan to go with an all Perrin exhaust setup with the Open Flash Tablet tune. My only problem is Perrin does not have a header to match the setup, so what do people recommend. I am looking at the Open Flash Header to go with the tune, but I'm not sure on the quality, etc. Also, I read on here that an Unequal Length Header will cause HorsePower loss.

Any thoughts on the best combination...
