Congrats! I drove a Gen Coupe 2.0T before my BRZ. It was nice, but is wasn't everything I hoped for. I love my BRZ, but I will admit that if I had originally owned a 3.8 R Spec then I definitely wouldn't be a BRZ owner right now. You got a great car. Enjoy it and take some pictures!

I guess the FR-S just wasn't the right car for you.

In my opinion Toyota> Hyundai

I think the Genesis Coupe looked better before the facelift. But congrats on your new car.

Not exactly sure what your point is in comparing brands.

Regardless, and as I've said, I enjoyed my time with the FRS.

If looks were everything, I certainly would have kept the FRS. Haha.

Enjoy your new car. Variety is the spice of life. It's fun to experience new and different cars! It's a hobby of mine too!

Not a bad car at all if you want more power and still need a back seat though!
It does feel quite massive. Anything will after driving an FRS (or a Miata) for some time. I think the difference in power is a fair compensation.

I priced one of these just out of curiosity and its funny to see on their website how much they compare our car and some others. Nice to see competitio.

Owned a genesis 2.0 turbo for a while not a bad car at all. I will definitely own another genesis coupe when they decide to put the Toa v8 from the genesis sedan in it!

They really do compare the car to just about everything. The Miata, FRS, Camaro, 4 series, Infiniti.

And from the results, it does seem like they're after each of those market segments.

I made the exact opposite trade you did ('13 3.8 R-Spec). I just wanted something that felt closer to being on two wheels though. The 3.8 is a great engine with a nice sound that I miss on occasion. And Brembos. I really miss my Brembos. Do yourself a favor and put some new pads in them. Doesn't really matter whose, the ones Hyundai gives you stock are chopped so they feel like normal brakes, but those calipers can do so much more if you give them more pad to work with. A new set of sways will probably take care of most of the boaty feel.
