Tire Size Decision - OZ Ultraleggera 18x8.0

I'm about to pull the trigger on this purchase, but the only thing holding me up is the decision on tire size. I'm looking at Michelin Pilot Supersports in 225/40R18, 235/40R18, or 245/35R18. I'd like to avoid any sort of stretched sidewall, but don't want tires so wide that they'll rub on tight corners or adversely affect handling without suspension mods. Any input would be much appreciated!

I've got exactly these wheels and am running 225/40/R18 Federal 595-RSR with no stretch (or bulge). Perfect fit from my perspective.

Car does not feel over-tyred, or under-tyred.

Great! Would you mind posting a photo or two?

I'm running Michelin pilot SS in 245/35zr18. Great tire, light weight and works well on smooth tracks. The 35 series with stock suspension makes for a hard ride on the streets in north Texas.

Thanks! Hard decision here. Sounds like both combinations work well.

Well... I did it! I ultimately settled on the wider 245/35R18 (like duder's car). Should be delivered in a day or two and on my car by this weekend. I'll post photos.

My understanding is that 225 PSS run wide anyways so they would be the best bet on 8". I am going to put PSS 225/18R40 on my 18x8.5 SSR GT F01 wheels when they arrive tomorrow.
